The night ended with new number one contender Swerve Strickland on top.
Capping off AEW’s 2025 Revolution pay-per-view was the AEW World Championship match that saw Jon Moxley defending against Cope.
There was a point in the match when referee Bryce Remsburg was taken out, so Wheeler Yuta made his way into the ring. He acted as if he was lining up Moxley, but targeted Cope with a running knee. Jay White entered the picture to offset Yuta. He grabbed the briefcase that contains the AEW World Title and went to swing at Moxley, but the champion ducked and the briefcase connected with Cope.
He was able to recover and Cope hit Moxley with multiple spears. When he had him pinned, Christian Cage pulled the referee out of the ring. He then used his contract that he earned by winning the Casino Gauntlet at All In to add himself to the title match.
Moxley ended up choking Cage out to retain the World Championship.
Post-match, Moxley was approached by Prince Nana near a tunnel. The new number one contender Swerve Strickland watched from the stands and then did a Swerve Stomp onto Moxley and multiple security guards to close the show.
