Gable proved his innocence.
Madison Square Garden was home to the 3/10 Monday Night Raw on Netflix and one of the matches on the bill was a Tornado tag bout that saw The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) take on LWO’s Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee.
As the bout was ongoing, a masked individual entered the picture and ambushed Mysterio. The person, sporting a red, white and blue mask, delivered a delayed German suplex to Mysterio and then did Gable’s signature ‘thank you’ pose. The individual was pulled away by security but took off running into the crowd. This led to New Day picking up the win.
Later in the show, Chad Gable was interviewed by Cathy Kelley and he denied that it was him. Gable recently traveled to Mexico to ‘master lucha libre.’
As Gable was denying that he went after Mysterio, the masked individual was shown in the background being taken away by security.
