Marella added that he thinks TNA is moving in the direction of him and his daughter Arianna Grace teaming.

On TNA Wrestling programming, Santino Marella serves as the on-screen authority figure.

The 50-year-old Marella is still active in the ring and last wrestled in February at an independent show in Italy. He also took a superkick from Nic Nemeth on TNA iMPACT.

While he was the focus of a talk event that was hosted by the Johnny I Pro Show, Marella shared that TNA management approached him about the idea of going on another in-ring run. He mentioned to them that he wants to share the ring with his daughter. Marella said management is looking at that, but they were more so trying to gauge his interest in stepping back into the ring for them.

I feel really good so, I never intended on ever kind of considering having a wrestling career again. Like, the actual wrestling side. But after speaking with management last week at TNA and they’re like, ‘Man, you’re moving really good. You’re having these matches. You wanna wrestle?’ And I was like, ‘I wanna wrestle with my daughter.’ Not against her. But with her, and they go, ‘Yeah, we’re thinking that at the very least. But also, feel like a little run?’ And I was like, ‘Sh*t, alright. Let’s do it man.’ I rode it until the wheels fell off and then I found out they can put the wheels back on so let’s do it again. So, yeah, we’ll see. This is gonna be an interesting year. I’ll get back in the ring at some point and every time I do get in the ring, everyone’s like, ‘Man, you haven’t lost a step’ so, we’ll see. We’ll see if I can get in there and teach these young kids a thing or two.

He went on to express that one of his goals is to tag with Arianna at WrestleMania. The idea of it happening in TNA was mentioned and he said he thinks they’re headed in that direction. Marella added that WWE owns the rights to the Santino Marella character.

Oh God, I’ll put it out there in the universe. If we can ever do a mixed tag at WrestleMania, father and daughter… TNA, I think we’re planning to do something like that but, of course, you know, WWE, they built the character and they actually own the rights to it again so…

The next stages of the TNA-WWE partnership is unfolding at NXT Roadblock from The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) are defending the TNA World Tag Team Championships against Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom). Moose is going to be challenging Oba Femi for the NXT Title.
