One-half of The Natural Disasters confirmed this week that the former WWF Tag Team Champions will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

Fred Ottman, best known by his in-ring name Typhoon, recently said in an interview with Sportskeeda that the tag duo will be joining the Class of 2025.

“It is an honor,” Typoon said during a recent interview with Bill Apter. “It was crazy when I got that phone call… Mr. Pritchard called me. I couldn’t believe it. I was like, wow, what an incredible thing, you know? I always say, there are so many guys that are so worthy to be in there that aren’t yet. For this to happen is amazing.”

Typhoon’s comment about the induction comes just a week after WrestleVotes reported that the duo would join the class. WWE has yet to officially announce them for the upcoming ceremony.

From 1991 to 1993, Typhoon teamed with John Tenta Jr., known as Earthquake, to form the tag duo. Billed at a combined weight of 852 pounds, the duo was known for their overwhelming size and power.

During their two-year WWF run, they had feuds with the Legion of Doom and Money Inc., the latter of which kicked off an 85-day run as the WWF Tag Team Champions in 1992.

The duo split in 1993 after Earthquake left the WWF, later beginning a run in WCW. Tenta Jr. passed away in 2006 due to bladder cancer at just 42.

“He was literally my brother from another mother,” Typhoon said while reflecting upon his time with Earthquake. “I’d tell him that all the time. We’d cut up and joke and have a good time. John was just so amazing as an athlete. I was proud when they put us together … I was just flabbergasted.”

Pending official announcement, The Natural Disasters will join Triple H, Michelle McCool and Lex Luger as part of the 2025 class. The ceremony will take place at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas on April 18, airing just a couple of hours after Smackdown wraps up.
