For the last several years, Drilla Moloney has been competing regularly for New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He was first brought over as a member of United Empire, but he ended up aligning himself with BULLET CLUB.
Present-day, he’s a member of the War Dogs subsection of BULLET CLUB. Looking back at his start with NJPW, Moloney said on the Midnight Kingdom podcast that he had only planned to be with NJPW for two weeks when he first arrived.
I was only gonna come here (to NJPW) for two weeks… with United Empire. But then, so many things were changing during my first tour and then I stayed for six weeks. Then, went home for one week. Then came back. The two-week tour became six weeks. Then now, maybe I’ve spent 80 percent of (the) past two years in Japan. But now, Japan feels more like home than when I go (to) England.
Moloney made the move to heavyweight and as of this writing, he is competing in the New Japan Cup tournament. He defeated Tomohiro Ishii in the first round and his next opponent is TJP.
