Satomura is still undecided.
The near 30-year career of Meiko Satomura is coming to an end on April 29th. The Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling promotion which is co-ran by Satomura will be hosting her retirement match. It is taking place at Korakuen Hall.
Satomura is still undecided about who she is going to face in that bout and she shared that information with Tokyo Sports. She added that she has yet to decide if it’ll be a singles or a tag.
I thought I would be able to see it about three months ago, but I still can’t see it. It’s less than a month until my retirement match, but I still can’t see it. I want to carefully select the wrestler I will entrust my future to and then make a decision. I still don’t know if it will be a singles match or a tag team match.
In March, she dropped the Sendai Girls’ World Championship to Chihiro Hashimoto. The idea of doing a rematch for her final match was suggested and she said she could see it happening.
I think that’s possible (to do a rematch with Chihiro Hashimoto for my final match). I can definitely see it. I have to make a decision in the next few days…
April 15th will mark the anniversary of Satomura’s in-ring debut in 1995. She is going to be in action for Sendai Girls’ on April 12th.
At STARDOM All Star Grand Queendom on April 17th, Satomura is going to be in a six-woman tag match.
