Fans in Las Vegas are expecting to see John Cena one last time before he attempts to dethrone Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
Cena has been promoted for WWE’s April 18 episode of Smackdown, which is set to take place the day before a two-night presentation of Wrestlemania 41 kicks off.
Smackdown is scheduled for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, the same city which will host Wrestlemania later that weekend.
Cena is currently being promoted along with Cody Rhodes, Tiffany Stratton, Bianca Belair, LA Knight, and Randy Orton. The lineup, of course, is subject to change.
Cena earned his chance to challenge Rhodes for a world title last month when he won the men’s Elimination Chamber match. He quickly turned from a beloved figure to a heel shortly after the result, attacking Rhodes that same night and aligning himself with “The Final Boss,” The Rock.
Cena has appeared on a few episodes of TV since then, explaining the rationale behind his turn. It looks like his final chance to say his piece will come just a little over a day from when he’s expected to meet Rhodes in front of a stadium crowd.
WWE’s official site also lists Cena for numerous post-Mania Smackdown appearances. This includes April 25, May 9 and 30, and June 6, 13 and 20. He’s also currently billed to appear on Raw after Wrestlemania.
