Layla expresses how proud she is of her best friend.
Among the names scheduled to be inducted into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame is Michelle McCool. The four-time WWE Women’s Champion is often linked to her time as a part of LayCool with Layla.
Her former tag partner is going to be in attendance for the induction and Layla shared the news while on Busted Open. She stated that McCool deserves the accolade on her own merit and career. Layla feels Michelle earned it before LayCool came into the fold.
It’s (WWE Hall of Fame) an achievement for Michelle (McCool) 100 percent. She deserves this on her own merit, her own career, even before LayCool was even a factor so for me, I’m gonna be there. It’s huge for me because I want to celebrate my best friend. I wanna sit there, I wanna enjoy her getting her moment. I feel LayCool came after and anything associated with Michelle, I know I’m gonna be associated with her, with LayCool always. Always. That (will) always be something that her and I share a bond that we’ll always be together till the day we die. But, to me, I won’t be like, oh, yes! Michelle’s my partner. It’s my accomplishment. I can’t do that. It’s just her accomplishment. This is on her own standing, her own merit and I’m just 100 percent proud of her, here to support her and show her love.
Prior to the announcement of McCool going into the Hall of Fame, she stated that if she did go in, she would want it to be alongside Layla as LayCool.
The 2025 Hall of Fame class consists of Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, McCool, Lex Luger, The Natural Disasters (Earthquake & Typhoon), Stone Cold Steve Austin versus Bret Hart from WrestleMania 13 and joining the legacy wing are Kamala, Dory Funk Sr. and Ivan Koloff.
