For the first time in her career, Sol Ruca is a WWE champion.
Ruca ended the 189-day WWE Women’s Speed Championship reign of Candice LeRae on Wednesday’s episode of the web series, defeating her in four minutes after hitting her finishing move, the Sol Snatcher.

WWE Speed, a web series which the promotion launched last year on X, sees wrestlers compete in matches with tight time limits. This week’s title bout, which was taped last Friday before an episode of Smackdown, had a five-minute time limit.
While Ruca is mainly an NXT talent, she received the opportunity to appear in the latest WWE Speed tournament.
She received a shot at LeRae after defeating Katana Chance and Michin in a #1 contenders bracket.
The title, while not a TV championship for WWE, is the first wrestling belt Ruca has held since making her 2022 in-ring debut.
Ruca has the chance to add even more gold to her collection this weekend when she competes in a six-way ladder match for the vacant NXT Women’s North American Championship at Stand & Deliver.
LeRae was the inaugural women’s WWE Speed Champion, first earning the belt last October after defeating IYO SKY. She had retained the title twice in recent months, albeit with both wins emerging due to a time limit draw.
The show will now shift back to the men’s division, where the next challenger for Dragon Lee will be determined. Here are the competitors for the next four-man bracket:
- Alex Shelley vs. Wes Lee
- Erik vs. El Grande Americano
