Penta calls Lucha Underground ‘turning point’ for his career

In all four seasons of Lucha Underground, Penta was prominently featured on the program. He held the Lucha Underground and Gift of the Gods Championships.

Penta is heading into a Fatal 4-Way WWE Intercontinental Title match at WrestleMania 41 and ahead of the bout, he sat down with Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen for ESPN. Penta began speaking about his time in Lucha Underground and called it a ‘turning point’ for his career. 

When I did Lucha Underground… You know Lucha Underground, guys? Thank you. In that moment, turning point for my career because it was different style, different luchadors, different wrestlers. So, when I did the Lucha Underground, my style start switch different.
