Becky Lynch made a surprise appearance at WrestleMania Sunday, joining Lyra Valkyria as her partner to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Titles.

Lynch would win the match, delivering the Manhandle Slam on Liv Morgan for the title change. This means Lyra Valkyria now holds both the Women’s Intercontinental Title and one-half of the Women’s Tag Titles.

Lynch’s final match before her hiatus took place on the May 27th, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw, where she unsuccessfully challenged Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship in a steel cage match. Her WWE contract was reported to have expired shortly thereafter on June 1st, 2024.

During her time away from WWE, Lynch focused on other ventures, most notably securing an acting role in the upcoming Paramount+ series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, announced late last year.

Despite reportedly re-signing with WWE in January 2025 and making promotional appearances, including attending this weekend’s Hall of Fame ceremony, she had kept fans guessing about her in-ring future until now.
