BUSHI’s last diary entry.
The conclusion of NJPW’s Road to Wrestling Dontaku tour is coming in May and the last stop on the tour will feature Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI’s last match with the company.
Both talents are wrestling on the Road to Wrestling Dontaku shows on the lead-up to that May 4th date. BUSHI pushed out a new diary entry on NJPW’s official website and wrote about his pending exit. He expressed gratitude to NJPW for allowing him to cancel his contract despite being advertised for Best of the Super Juniors which starts May 10th.
Although I was allowed to enter the (Best of the Super Juniors) tournament even after the participating members had been announced, I apologize for the inconvenience to those who were planning to watch the tournament.
I would also like to express my gratitude to New Japan Pro-Wrestling for listening to my selfish wishes and letting me cancel my contract even though I had signed an annual contract with the company. I am grateful to New Japan Pro-Wrestling for letting me cancel the contract.
BUSHI went on to note that he’s just leaving New Japan, but he’s not retiring as a wrestler.
I’m just leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling. I’m not retiring from being a pro wrestler.
The 42-year-old BUSHI first debuted in NJPW in 2012. He’s held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight, Junior Heavyweight Tag Team and NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championships.
