Rusev is back.
The Raw after WrestleMania featured an appearance from newly crowned WWE World Tag Team Champions The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston). They were confronted by Alpha Academy (Maxxine Dupri, Otis & Akira Tozawa).
After talking trash to the champions, Dupri was able to convince them to give Alpha Academy an impromptu tag title match.
The lights in the venue went dark and then out came the returning Rusev f.k.a. Miro. He made his way to the ring and New Day took off. He proceeded to take out both Otis and Tozawa.
Rusev was released from WWE in April 2020. He joined All Elite Wrestling later that year and went on to become a TNT Champion in the company. He last wrestled for AEW in December 2023.
