Omega chimes in on Naito’s pending exit.
On May 4th, Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI are scheduled to wrestle their final matches for New Japan Pro-Wrestling at Wrestling Dontaku. They’ll be in a tag match with fellow Los Ingobernables de Japon members.
Both Naito and BUSHI have commented several times about their decision to leave New Japan. The latest to chime in on the news was Kenny Omega. He did so on his Twitch stream and stated the following:
Yeah, very odd (Omega said about Tetsuya Naito leaving NJPW). Odd as in I didn’t hear anything about it. It just kind of came out of nowhere and not that Naito and I keep in touch or anything like that or let us know what we’re thinking and how things are going but, you know, sometimes you hear a bit of a rambling and there’s murmurs and whispers…
Naito informed NJPW in early April about his intentions to leave the company. NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi tried to keep him.
