Toni Storm’s title eliminator tour will continue this weekend when AEW Collision heads to the Adrian Philips Theater at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
After swatting down Queen Aminata and TJPW’s Miyu Yamashita over the past week in title eliminator matches, the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion will try to get past Lady Frost this Saturday on Collision.
As has been the case with Storm’s other recent matches, the title won’t be on the line when she faces CMLL and ROH vet Lady Frost this weekend. However, if Lady Frost can pull out a victory, she’ll be due for a future championship bout against the champ.
The recent title eliminator matches have kept Storm busy as she waits to see who will emerge from the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and face her at All In later this year – that is, if she is still champ by that time. The All In challenger will be confirmed on May 25 when Mercedes Moné and Jamie Hayter face off at AEW Double or Nothing.
Both Moné and Hayter confronted Storm after her win on Wednesday. It’s possible that a similar meeting could take place after her appearance this weekend as well.
It was also announced Wednesday that recent AEW signing Josh Alexander will face off against Brody King on this weekend’s Collision.
Alexander made his AEW debut just a few weeks back as the Wild Card in the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. He has aligned with the Don Callis Family since debuting, winning a pair of tag matches as part of their clique.
Just a little over a week removed from beating him in tag action, Alexander will try to secure yet another win over King this weekend.
While AEW Collision usually airs on TNT, this week’s episode will be moved over to its sister channel, TBS. The show maintains its usual 8 p.m. ET start time.
Here’s a look at what we know about the card thus far:
- Toni Storm vs. Lady Frost (AEW Women’s World Championship Title Eliminator)
- Brody King vs. Josh Alexander
