EJ Nduka’s contract at AEW has expired, with the performer weighing in to confirm a report.
Fightful Select reported that the 35-year-old’s deal with AEW had expired, and he was a free agent. Hours later, Nduka confirmed his status:
I was never meant to sit. Benches were made for the unsure.
I’ve heard the call now it’s time to move.
If you think this guy was made to ride the bench you need to call the 1800 number cause you suffer from mesothelioma you pencil neck reject. https://t.co/NDemnRQ1TI

After playing college football, Nduka went undrafted in the NFL but played briefly in the Indoor Football League. He signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL in February 2013 but was released three months later.
Nduka got involved in professional bodybuilding with the IFFB.
After multiple tryouts, he signed with WWE in 2019 but never made it onto television before he was cut in May 2021.
Nduka wrestled for MLW and formed a team with Calvin Tankman before signing with AEW in 2023, but was rarely used, with fourteen matches for AEW/ROH during his tenure. His last match for ROH was in January and was part of the Jericho Cruise in February.
