Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling will host its first event in Toronto next week and has added several matches to the lineup.
After shows in Windsor last October and this past March, Scott D’Amore’s new venture will run at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (the former Maple Leaf Gardens) on Saturday, May 10, featuring a 20-man Championship Gauntlet to establish its MLP Canadian Champion.
Speedball Mike Bailey of AEW was previously announced for the gauntlet match, but has been taken out of the match and announced for a three-way match with British Heavyweight Champion Michael Oku and New Japan’s Gabe Kidd.
MLP also revealed a match between Zack Sabre Jr. and Jonathan Gresham, who just met at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII event in Las Vegas last month.
