The full card for NJPW’s Resurgence card has been released after Wrestling Dontaku.
Sunday’s show card in Fukuoka saw Hirooki Goto retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Callum Newman, which led to challenges issued by Zack Sabre Jr. and Shingo Takagi.
The former champion ZSJ will get the rematch for the championship this Friday in Ontario, California, when he faces Goto. Takagi is expected to challenge the winner at Dominion on June 15 in Osaka.
NJPW is promoting this Friday’s card with a double main event, including the STRONG Women’s Championship three-way match between Mercedes Moné, AZM, and Mina Shirakawa.
Resurgence airs this Friday at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view through New Japan World with a $19.99 price tag.
