Rei Saito is the Champion Carnival winner.

All Japan’s annual Champion Carnival wrapped on Sunday at Ota Ward Gymnasium in Tokyo in front of 2,280.

Saito, the brother of the Triple Crown holder, defeated Hideki Suzuki quickly and advanced to the finals, where he beat two-time Carnival winner Kento Miyahara.

Sunday’s event came down to Saito, Suzuki, Miyahara, and Ryuki Honda after the month-long affair.

Miyahara beat Honda in the first semi-final match using a crucifix hold, Rei Saito made short work of Hideki Suzuki with a knockout in under two minutes.

In the final, Saito defeated the six-time Triple Crown holder Miyahara in 24:22 using the BBQ Bomb.

The tournament win sets up a unique championship match involving the Saito brothers. Jun Saito won the Triple Crown on December 31, 2024.

Sunday’s show included Seiki Yoshioka winning the AJPW Jr. Heavyweight title from MUSASI after hitting the Crash Driver. It ends MUSASHI’s five-month reign.
