The event will take place on a Saturday afternoon, just a few hours before WWE’s first night of Summerslam goes down at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
Bloodsport is a series that sees wrestlers perform in a “worked shoot” style inside a ring with no ropes. The matches in Bloodsport cards can only be won via knockout or submission.
The event has garnered a cult following since its launch in 2018 due to the different presentation and style that it has compared to most wrestling shows. It first started as a Wrestlemania weekend show from GCW, and continues to be part of their annual festivities in April.
Last month, the 13th edition of the show took place in Las Vegas, headlined by a Gabe Kidd victory over Barnett himself. The card also featured a 17-minute duel between Zack Sabre Jr. and Jonathan Gresham.
While the series is best known for its presence around Wrestlemania, it has been showcased during other points of the year as well. GCW is expected to bring the series to London, England for the first time in September.
