Kenny Omega & Kazuchika Okada to unify belts, compete for AEW Unified Championship at All In 2025

A new AEW Unified Championship will go to the winner of the upcoming meeting between Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega.

Omega and Okada will head into All In: Texas on July 12 with an AEW belt each to their name: Omega is the 11th man to hold the International Championship, and Okada is currently on a more than 440-day run as the Continental Champion.

But once everything is said and done at the Globe Life Field next month, the winner of the bout will head home with the new AEW Unified Championship. The title was revealed on this week’s special Summer Blockbuster edition of Dynamite.

Earlier this year, a report from Fightful Select noted that AEW had been considering ways to bring together the two singles bouts. The upcoming move brings down the number of men’s singles titles that sit a tier below the world championship, of which there are currently three in AEW (International, Continental, and TNT Championship).

Due to their critically acclaimed four-match rivalry in NJPW, a long-awaited fifth singles meeting between Okada and Omega has been hyped significantly since it was first announced earlier this month.

Okada started the build to the match with a big twist this week, aligning with Don Callis and leaving Omega coughing up blood after a violent attack during an official contract signing.
