Numerous reports have disputed the recent rumor that Hulk Hogan is in a dire health situation.
Many fans became heavily concerned on Wednesday morning after radio host Bubba The Love Sponge claimed that Hogan was hospitalized and in horrible condition, so much so that those close to the wrestling star were invited “to come say your goodbyes.”
However, since that claim has come out, a variety of reports have pushed back heavily. While confirming that Hogan is in the hospital, many have emphasized that his recent trip hasn’t put him anywhere near a critical state.
A representative for Hogan told TMZ today that the former wrestler is in the hospital for “lingering neck and back issues,” which were described as “more of the same ailments he’s had for years.” The rep noted that Hogan isn’t near death and has already been moving around since the hospital trip.
PWInsider reported that Hogan, 71, underwent neck surgery a few weeks ago. They wrote that he had “adverse reactions” due to trauma from the numerous surgeries he’s had on his neck and back, causing him to return to the hospital in recent days.
They reported that he’s expected to head back to his residence by the end of Wednesday.
Hogan has remained busy in the business world as of late. Along with his Real American Beer brand, which sponsors Monday Night Raw, Hogan is the leading man in the upstart Real American Freestyle Wrestling league, which is expected to launch this summer.
