Let The Games Begin

We see Toni Storm & Luther making their way into the building, just for Mercedes Mone to run in and attack them both. Mercedes drags Storm into the arena and says ‘Welcome to Dynamite’ into the camera. Mercedes gets a mic and asks if this is what Storm wanted to do, to embarrass, and says ‘let’s play’ and puts her into The Statement Maker. Officials try to break it apart, but Mina Shirakawa runs out to chase Mercedes away. Mercedes gets on the mic and says ‘Darling, let the games begin, mocking Storm.

Commentary tries to run down the show, but gets interrupted by The Young Bucks on the tron who bring up Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay having a tag team match in the second hour. Still, they use their power and bump up the match to happen right now, saying they hope Swerve & Ospreay are prepared.

Will Ospreay & Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) vs. Blake Christian & Lee Johnson

Will Ospreay’s music plays for a while before he runs to the ring, while still taping his wrist tape, as his boots aren’t even laced up all the way. Swerve seems a bit more prepared. Swerve outmaneuvers Lee Johnson to start, as he tags out to Blake Christian. Ospreay (and his shiner) tag in and go at it with Christian. Swerve & Ospreay work together and take down both Christian & Johnson as the crowd is fully behind them. Ospreay takes Johnson to the outside, where he takes him out with a dive, but as he goes to springboard back in, he gets distracted by the music of The Young Bucks, who make their way to the ring. Christian takes control and goes after both Ospreay & Swerve, including a wild dive to the outside. The Bucks clap up that move, as we head to our first break.

As we return, Swerve is fighting off both of his opponents, and hits an elbow to Christian off the ropes, as the Bucks are not too happy about all this, as Swerve hits a flatliner for a two. All four go at it, before Swerve & Ospreay hit a brainbuster/kick combo to Christian. Swerve follows with the House Call on Christian to pick up the pin and the win.

Winner: Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay by pinfall at 9:23

As soon as the match is over, the Bucks send a bunch of security to get in front of Ospreay & Swerve to stop them from getting to the Bucks. Swerve gets on the mic and says they are done having to deal with the Bucks, and don’t want to do it for another year, so they suggest Swerve & Ospreay vs. The Young Bucks at All In Texas. Ospreay says they should raise the stakes, as they are sick of the Bucks’ power, and tell them to put their EVP titles on the line. Before the Bucks can respond, Swerve takes out all of the security with a top rope stomp, as the Bucks run off.

This Is Only Temporary

When we come back, we see The Young Bucks in the back and say that Swerve put his hands on an AEW official and is suspended for a week without pay. Kazuchika Okada walks in and introduces his new friends as Konosuke Takeshita & RPG Vice walk in. Rocky Romero talks about their history, as Matthew Jackson tells them to be careful with their boss because he’s a prick. They talk about their common goals to make Okada the first Unified Champion and to hurt Kenny Omega, but hurting his Golden Lover. Trent Beretta says they will love what he is going to do to Kota Ibushi. Everyone walks off before Takeshita and Okada go face-to-face, as Takeshita tells him that this is only temporary.

Kota Ibushi vs. Trent Beretta (w/ Rocky Romero)

They start the match slowly, before Kota Ibushi takes Trent Beretta down to the mat multiple times before putting on a crucifix for a two, followed by a drop kick, as the crowd is fully behind Ibushi. Rocky Romero gets on the apron, distracting Ibushi enough for Beretta to take control. Beretta sends Ibushi to the outside, as Aubrey Edwards is distracted by Beretta, and Romero attacks Ibushi on the outside. Back inside, Ibushi kicks away at Beretta before hitting a standing moonsault press for a two. Beretta takes over with a running knee strike and a Gotch-style piledriver, but Ibushi kicks out at two. Beretta starts messing with Ibushi, which forces him to slap back as they trade off Dragon Suplexes. They trade pin attempts, with Beretta coming close with one. Ibushi fights off Beretta with a chest stomp before hitting a running knee strike and the Kamigoye to pick up the pin and the win.

Winner: Kota Ibushi by pinfall at 7:19

As soon as the match ends, Kazuchika Okada makes his way down to the ring and goes face-to-face with Ibushi. The crowd chants ‘Holy shit’, but Okada backs off and leaves. They get breaking news from Tony Khan that Okada vs. Ibushi will take place next week on the 300th episode of Dynamite.

Start Looking For Another Job

We go to Jon Moxley in the back, who says the present moment is slipping through their hands like sand, and ask if Adam Page will ‘grab it’, but doesn’t think so as the ‘Cowboy’ is afraid. Afraid to become what the world needs him to be. Moxley says that Page makes him sick, and he has less than zero sympathy for him, as the world champion doesn’t shy away from responsibility. He walks into the fire and doesn’t take crap from anybody. Moxley says that Page isn’t what these people think he is, and on July 12th, Page will get dumped on the top of his skull, and he will show the world what the world champion looks like, as Page will start looking for another job.

We go to earlier today where Renee Paquette is with AR Fox and tries to get a word with him about his recent momentum, but Ricochet interrupts and says he’s had his eyes on him about joining his ‘crew’ and suggests they team up to take on JetSpeed tonight. Fox seems conflicted, but as he has his hand out by happenstance, Ricochet brings it in as a form of him accepting the proposal, as we head to the match.

Ricochet & AR Fox vs. JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey)

As soon as the match starts, all four men go at it until AR Fox sends Kevin Knight to the apron, where he stomps on him before diving onto Mike Bailey on the outside. Fox follows with a twisting suplex on Knight for a two, as Ricochet isn’t even on the apron for this match, saying that Fox is ‘doing just fine and great’. Eventually, he joins in, as JetSpeed takes Fox & Ricochet to the outside and hits double dives, sending us into commercials.

When we return, Fox & Ricochet are having a bit of a disagreement, as Bailey takes control and hits a running shooting star press on Fox, but Ricochet breaks up the count at two. Ricochet sends Bailey face-first into the steel steps before Fox dives onto Bailey, sends him back inside, and hits the Lo Mein Pain. Fox crawls over to try and make the tag, but Ricochet steps off the apron and leaves for the back. Knight takes out Fox with the Sky High, followed by the UFO Splash to pick up the pin and the win.

Winners: JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) by pinfall at 9:38

Tony Schiavone gets a word with JetSpeed, saying they are on a hot streak. Bailey does his best Spider-Man impersonation before saying they have to save the AEW World Tag Team Championship from being held hostage. Knight starts doing his own version of MVP’s old WWE theme song, which prompts The Hurt Syndicate to attack them from behind. Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin continue to attack JetSpeed all around the steel steps, ring, and floor before MVP & MJF bring out a table to the stage. They place Knight on the table before Lashley chokeslams Bailey through Knight and the table. MVP gets on the mic and says, now that they have taken care of business, they will do it the right way, as they get their titles and music and make their way into the ring.

Kosher Pickle

They enter the ring as MVP begs for anyone in the tag team division to stand up to Lashley & Benjamin, and if JetSpeed could even stand up after that beating, they will gladly give them a title shot at All In, on the condition that they could walk. (Sii-note: Funny enough, as he’s saying this, we see JetSpeed in the background getting up and walking off.) MVP passes the mic to MJF, who talks about unmasking and defeating the Lucha Libre legend in Mistico, before MVP cuts him off to have the fans stop disrespecting MJF. MJF says that next week, he will be entering a qualifying match for a spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In. Mark Briscoe interrupts MJF as he was told that MJF is taking too long and to tell The Hurt Syndicate to ‘kindly exit the ring’, as he has a match coming up. MJF gets on Briscoe and tells him that if he gets in this ring, he will do what he always does and lose. Briscoe talks about the word of the day being empathy, as he empathizes with him and says that MJF is trying to compensate for something, as all these hurtful words come from a place of insecurity, before saying that MJF is walking around with a ‘small Kosher pickle’. This prompts the crowd to chant ‘Kosher Pickle’, before MVP says they will leave Briscoe the ring, to watch him lose.

Men’s Casino Gauntlet #1 Spot: Mark Briscoe vs. Bandido vs. Roderick Strong vs. Konosuke Takeshita

All four men go at it to start the match, including Bandido and Konosuke Takeshita trading strikes until Takeshita gets sent out with a dropkick, but Takeshita dodges a dive from him. In the ring. Roderick Strong stops a flying Mark Briscoe with a strike to the mid-section before launching Briscoe to the ropes as he goes diving onto Takeshita & Bandido. Strong joins in by taking out Briscoe as we head to break.

We come back, with Briscoe & Takeshita both being sent to the outside as Strong crawls over to Bandido, who raises up Undertaker style, before they start trading hard strikes with Bandido hitting a pop-up cutter, runs to the top rope, but gets pushed off to the outside by Takeshita. Takeshita then tries to jump, but gets pushed off by Briscoe, who tries the Froggy Bow but misses. Takeshita stops Strong and takes him to the top rope for a superplex as Bandido & Briscoe hit stereo Frog Splash and Froggy Bows, but both get a two-count. Bandido tries a 21 Plex on Briscoe, but Takeshita ends up German Suplexing both of them instead. Wow. Takeshita & Strong go at it, with Takeshita hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb for two. Bandido hits a 21 Plex on Takeshita, but he rolls out of the ring. Strong hits End of Heartache on Bandido, but Briscoe quickly follows with a Froggy Bow on him to pick up the pin and the win.

Winner: Mark Briscoe by pinfall at 11:05

Adam Cole is in the back and puts out an open challenge for his TNT Championship on tomorrow’s Collision against any member of The Don Callis Family

Women’s Casino Gauntlet #1 Spot: Kris Statlander vs. Athena (w/ Billie Starkz) vs. Willow Nightingale vs. Thunder Rosa

Ian Riccaboni tries to do his usual freestyles to Willow Nightingale’s theme, but sadly gets stopped by Taz, who tells him ‘This isn’t ROH.” All four go at it very quickly, including Athena heading to the top rope for the O-Face right away, but Kris Statlander stops her, as Thunder Rosa joins in before Willow takes them all out with the Tower of Doom, going into a commercial break.

Willow & Statlander have a bit of a staredown before going after each other, before Rosa takes them both out with a double drop kick off the top rope. Athena & Rosa go at it for a bit, trading pin attempts before Statlander & Willow join in. Rosa sends Statlander into the ropes and hits her with the dropkick, before calling for another one as Athena pulls her to the outside. Athena yells at Billie Starkz to grab her championship, but Rosa sends Athena into the steel steps instead. As they get on the steps, Athena takes her out with a suplex. Willow hits Statlander with a cannonball in the corner, but as she tries the Babe With The Power Bomb, Marina Shafir makes her way down to the ring. Wheeler Yuta tries to attack Willow from behind but gets taken out with the Pounce. Statlander takes advantage of this distraction and hits the Night Fever to pick up the pin and the win.

Winner: Kris Statlander by pinfall at 10:48

We find out that Nick Wayne & Christian Cage will face Bryan Keith & Big Bill tomorrow on Collision, before we go to FTR & Big Stoke (don’t call him Stokely Hathaway). Stokely talks about how they could solve this problem with The Outrunners and suggests a ‘conversation’ with FTR tomorrow on Collision.

Adam Page vs. The Beast Mortos

They start the match right away, as we are at 9:53 pm, before The Beast Mortos gets sent to the outside. Adam Page stays on top, with a fallaway slam to get a two-count as we go to commercial.

We return with them going at it fast, until Mortos gets sent to the outside as Page fights him off and tries a top rope moonsault, just for Mortos to dodge it and take out Page with a tornado, followed by a pop-up Samoan Drop for a two. Mortos tries a Tombstone, but Page reverses it, just for Mortos to spike Page on his head. Page comes back with a poison rana, a discus lariat, and the Buckshot Lariat to pick up the pin and the win.

Winner: Adam Page by pinfall at 9:50

As soon as the match ends, the lights go out. When they come back on, The Young Bucks have Page in the EVP Trigger position, and take him out with it. The Death Riders make their way into the ring (Sii-note: Still no Claudio Castagnoli). Wheeler Yuta hands Jon Moxley a chain that he uses to start choking Page with. The Opps run out, but the Death Riders & Young Bucks keep them out. Will Ospreay runs out and, along with The Opps, chases the heels away.
