MJF has followed Mistico to Major League Wrestling.

The former AEW World Champion made a surprise appearance at MLW’s Summer of the Beasts 2025 card on Thursday night at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City, appearing solely to attack rival Mistico.

Mistico, a past MLW World Middleweight Champion, appeared in the ring at Thursday’s card. But moments after he got into the ring, the Contra unit in MLW had their music hit.

After taking out a series of masked henchmen, one man wearing all black came from behind and kicked Mistico in the crotch.

Wearing the Mistico mask, which he stole at AEW Grand Slam Mexico earlier this week, MJF revealed his identity moments later.

He then made it clear that his rivalry with Mistico isn’t done.

“I ain’t through with you yet, boy, not by a long shot,” MJF said. “We’re going to wrestle again, and when we do, I’m going to beat you within an inch of your life. And that’s after I’m done making a mockery of your country, your countrymen, and your company of CMLL. Listen, puta madre, cabron, listen. Because my name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, and I’m better than you, and you know it.”

MJF faced Mistico at Grand Slam Mexico earlier this month, losing in 16 minutes due to disqualification. It now seems likely that a sequel between them could be on the way.
