Monday Night Mami
An early, 6 pm Eastern Monday Night Raw from Pittsburgh kicked off with Rhea Ripley, who said that the Judgment Day was behind her and she needed to get her priorities straight before Evolution. Ripley was immediately interrupted by Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky, who said Adam Pearce is allowing her to choose her opponent at Evolution, and therefore, she picked Ripley. Ripley accepted, and the segment came to an end.

Backstage, Dominik Mysterio was approached by AJ Styles, and Dominik stated that he was still not cleared and that Adam Pearce had to guarantee that if Styles attacked him, Styles would lose his title shot.
World Tag Team Championship
The first match of the evening was The New Day defending the World Tag Team Championships against Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh. The crowd got really into this one, cheering loudly for Judgment Day despite both teams using heel tactics. At one point in the match, Bálor accidentally hit McDonagh with the Coupe de Grâce, but McDonagh was able to kick out. Bálor then got nailed with one of the tag belts behind the referee’s back, but was able to kick out of that as well. McDonagh then hit a moonsault, and Bálor hit the Coupe de Grâce on Xavier Woods to win the titles. Bálor and McDonagh then celebrated with Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio on the stage.

Jackie Redmond interviewed Bayley backstage and was swiftly interrupted by Lyra Valkyria. The two started arguing about last week and how they both wanted to fight Becky Lynch. Adam Pearce appeared and made a #1 Contender’s match between them for later tonight.

Next, a Goldberg promo video was shown, hyping his match against Gunther. After that, footage was shown from earlier in the day with Chad Gable telling American Made to hold down the fort while he was gone. Adam Pearce appeared and wished him luck with his recovery, and wondered if we’d see El Grande Americano anytime soon. Gable also instructed the Creeds to listen to Ivy Nile while he was gone. Ludwig Kaiser was again lurking in the background.
Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis were chatting backstage when new World Tag Team Champions Judgment Day approached and Bálor suggested that Raquel Rodriguez should partner with Roxanne Perez as a stand-in for the injured Liv Morgan. They agreed, but they would have to defend the titles against a team from Raw, a team from SmackDown, and a team from NXT.

The League of Nations Explode
The next match saw former League of Nations members Sheamus and Rusev squaring off. As expected, this was a hard-hitting affair with Rusev hitting unprotected headbutts on Sheamus at one point. Rusev applied The Accolade on Sheamus, but Sheamus was able to get back to his feet while still in the hold as the two fell to the outside, where Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick. Rusev then rammed Sheamus’ throat into the exposed turnbuckle, then hit the Machka Kick for the win.
Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce announced a Battle Royal for Evolution, with the winner getting a title shot at Clash in Paris. Ivy Nile then said she was getting into the match when a different El Grande Americano appeared, clearly being Ludwig Kaiser. American Made wouldn’t comment on his appearance. Then, nearby, Sami Zayn was attacked by Karrion Kross with a pipe and left lying.

Gunther and Rollins
Next, Gunther cut an in-ring promo running down Goldberg and noting that all of his matches were under three minutes and that he never had “it”. Gunther said that once he’s done with Goldberg, it’ll be him asking, “Who’s next?” and with that, Seth Rollins appeared. Gunther chided Rollins for going all the way to Saudi Arabia and achieving nothing. Rollins retorted that he didn’t intend to cash in on John Cena, but rather to ensure that CM Punk would never become a world champion. Rollins reminded Gunther that when he won the Money in the Bank, he declared it would be an “all-out assault on both world titles.” This brought out CM Punk, who brawled with Rollins until Rollins escaped through the crowd. Punk then shoved Gunther to the ground on his way out of the ring. Rollins, still in the crowd, was suddenly attacked by LA Knight, and the two brawled by the concessions until Rollins finally escaped. It was later announced that the two would face off at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12th.

Backstage, Roxanne Perez had her half of the Women’s tag titles when Raquel complained about replacing Liv so quickly. Bálor noted that shoulder injuries can take a considerable amount of time to recover from. Judgment Day then voted Perez as an official member, with Rodriguez begrudgingly agreeing. Perez said she would do anything to help the team and would start by taking out the person who injured Liv in Kairi Sane. A subtitled promo from Sane followed this, warning all champions that she was coming for their gold.
Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria
Not much to report on here, but the finish saw a double pin with the referee declaring the match a draw – a fairly predictable outcome, with both of them wanting to face Becky. Bayley and Lyra started brawling into the crowd until officials separated them.

CM Punk was backstage and complained to LA Knight about him attacking Seth Rollins when he wanted him. Knight told Punk to get to the back of the line and stormed off. Sami Zayn was being attended to backstage when Penta approached, ensuring he was still good for their match.

Sami Zayn & Penta vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed
The main event of the evening saw the now-injured Sami Zayn teaming with Penta to take on the Seth Riders’ Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Backstage, Paul Heyman explained that Rollins had already left the building and was working on “Plan B”. Reed asked what Plan B was, and Breakker said it was for him to smash everybody. Riveting writing. The story of this match was Zayn’s injured ribs, thanks to Karrion Kross and the heels targeting them. Despite the injury, Zayn continued to hit high-flying maneuvers, including another Sabu tribute springboard moonsault to the outside.

With Penta firmly in control, Paul Heyman jumped onto the apron and distracted the referee, allowing the heels to take advantage and garner a nearfall. Reed then missed a Tsunami on Penta. Zayn then hit a superplex on Reed, but as he was selling his ribs after the spot, Breakker hit him with the spear for the win. After the match, Reed & Breakker started to attack Zayn & Penta, only to have Jey Uso appear with a chair and fight off the heels. Paul Heyman could be seen talking into his phone as the show ended with the faces standing tall.
