Vince McMahon has been granted a pretrial probationary program, which could eliminate a reckless driving charge he was hit with earlier this year.

McMahon, 80, will be dismissed from charges of reckless driving and following too closely resulting in an accident if he can keep a clean record until October 15, 2026, a Stamford, Connecticut, court ruled this week. Details were first confirmed by the New Haven Register.

McMahon will also make a $1,000 donation to charity and only drive while licensed and insured as part of the agreement.

The agreement allows McMahon to avoid charges in relation to an accident this July, where the former WWE Chairman’s Bentley Continental GT came into contact with the rear of a BMW 430, per a Connecticut State Police accident summary obtained by POST Wrestling.

Barbara Doran, a 72-year-old who was driving the BMW at the time, said on Facebook that she was “lucky to have survived” the incident. It was alleged that McMahon was going 90 mph when the accident took place.

Debris from the crash also came into contact with a Ford Fusion. It was noted in the accident report that no injuries occurred, but all three cars were towed away.

McMahon’s attorney, Mark Sherman, said that he had sent apology notes to other drivers affected by the crash on behalf of his client. The NH Register noted that the two other drivers involved in the incident weren’t present for the hearing, nor did they object to his application for the probationary program.
