NEVER Openweight Championship added to King of Pro Wrestling

The NEVER Openweight Championship will be defended at New Japan’s King of Pro Wrestling next month.

The October 12 event at Ryogoku Kokugikan has added a championship match between Aaron Wolf and Kosei Fujita after the challenger pinned Wolf in a tag match on Friday at Korakuen Hall.

Fujita used a bridging German suplex to win the Olympic gold medalist as Fujita & Ryohei Oiwa beat Wolf & Taichi.

King of Pro Wrestling will feature Oiwa challenging for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Yota Tsuji or Hirooki Goto in the main event following Oiwa’s G1 Climax victory.
