AEW finalized the teams for its women’s Blood & Guts match on Saturday’s Collision, while Jay White named his new faction and Josh Alexander earned a TNT Championship opportunity.
Collision aired live from the LJVM Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with the women’s Blood & Guts match confirmed for November 4 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Women’s Blood & Guts teams finalized
The setup followed a match between Wrathlander (Kris Statlander & Harley Cameron) and Divine Dominion’s Megan Bayne & Lena Kross.
The match ended by disqualification when Thekla, Julia Hart & Skye Blue of the Triangle of Madness became involved. Willow Nightingale came out carrying a chain and initially helped Statlander & Cameron clear the ring before the numbers turned against them.
Backstage later in the show, Nightingale said she had spoken with AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Jamie Hayter & Alex Windsor, collectively known as the Brawling Birds.
That set the women’s Blood & Guts lineup as Nightingale, Statlander, Cameron, Hayter & Windsor against Thekla, Hart, Blue, Bayne & Kross.
Statlander & Cameron are also due to challenge Hayter & Windsor for the Women’s World Tag Team Championship at Full Gear.
The women’s match joins the previously announced men’s Blood & Guts contest between Team Ospreay and the Don Callis Family.
Josh Alexander challenges Darby Allin
Josh Alexander quickly defeated Blade Brown before declaring that it was time for him to bring championship gold to the Don Callis Family.
Alexander challenged TNT Champion Darby Allin to a match on Wednesday’s Fright Night Dynamite in St. Louis, with AEW subsequently making the title defense official.
He then turned his attention to Adam Copeland, noting that Copeland had been attacked by the Callis Family on Dynamite and was not expected to be in Winston-Salem.
Copeland nevertheless appeared and hit Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero with spears. Mark Davis & Jake Doyle then attacked him from behind, with Alexander joining the beatdown.
The TNT Championship match joins Persephone’s defense against Queen Aminata and the third FTR-Motor City Machine Guns match on the October 28 Dynamite lineup.
Jay White names The Last Outfit
Jay White opened Collision alongside the Bang Bang Gang and The Dogs following their alliance on Wednesday’s Dynamite.
White briefly teased reviving the Bullet Club name before rejecting the idea.
He said that reaching the top of AEW required “more than a club” or a family, instead describing the group as an “outfit.”
White then introduced the faction as The Last Outfit.
The group consists of White, Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Ace Austin, David Finlay and Clark Connors.
White also addressed his history with Finlay, who removed him from Bullet Club in NJPW in 2023. He acknowledged there could be “hiccups” but said there was no reason the pair could not work together.
The former AEW World Champion also made clear that he intends to pursue Jon Moxley and the Continental Championship.
That issue carried into the main event, where White defeated Kyle O’Reilly with the Blade Runner.
The Last Outfit attacked O’Reilly and the Conglomeration afterward until the Death Riders arrived. A large brawl followed, with Orange Cassidy accidentally striking Moxley with an Orange Punch as White and his allies escaped.
FTR levels series with Motor City Machine Guns
FTR defeated Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin in the second match of their ongoing series to level the score at 1-1.
The Motor City Machine Guns had won the opening match at WrestleDream.
Saturday’s finish came after Stokely Hathaway became involved, assisting Cash Wheeler as he used the ropes during a pin on Shelley.
The third match will take place Wednesday on Fright Night Dynamite.
Elsewhere, Swerve Strickland defeated Myron Reed after a competitive singles match, finishing him with the Swerve Stomp.
Andrade El Idolo & Mike Bailey also won a short tag match before Tommaso Ciampa attacked Andrade at ringside. Bailey chased Ciampa away.
