Blake Monroe defeated Zaria to become the new NXT Women’s North American Champion at Halloween Havoc on Saturday.
Zaria was defending the title on behalf of the recognized champion, Sol Ruca, who is currently injured. Ruca, who suffered a leg injury on a recent episode of SmackDown, accompanied Zaria at ringside.
Monroe attacked Zaria immediately and focused her offense on Zaria’s left arm and shoulder. She repeatedly used the ropes and submission holds to target the limb.
Zaria rallied with a series of suplexes and applied a Torture Rack. Monroe escaped the hold by transitioning into an armbar. Zaria broke the submission by lifting Monroe into a sit-out powerbomb.
Later, Monroe sent Zaria crashing shoulder-first into the steel steps. Ruca then shoved Zaria into the ring post, claiming it had popped her shoulder back into place. Zaria re-entered the ring and hit a spear for a nearfall.

The finish came after Monroe, who was outside the ring, kicked the crutch out from under Ruca. Zaria went to the floor to check on Ruca. Monroe attacked Zaria from behind, delivering a Glamour Shot DDT on the floor.
Monroe rolled Zaria back into the ring and hit a second Glamour Shot to secure the pinfall victory.
This marks the first championship win for Blake Monroe since joining WWE in June 2025.
Monroe, who debuted on the June 3 episode of NXT, previously wrestled as Mariah May in All Elite Wrestling from 2023 to 2025.
