NXT announced bouts for its next few weeks of TV on Tuesday night, including an upcoming rematch for the brand’s top men’s title. Here’s a quick rundown of everything revealed:
NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley to appear in six-woman tag bout, Speed tournament to begin on 11/4 show
Next week’s episode of NXT will feature a pair of segments involving the women’s division.
In six-woman tag action, NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley will team with Izzi Dame and Lola Vice to take on Fatal Influence, led by former champ Jacy Jayne.
Angered by her title loss last weekend, Jayne and the rest of Fatal Influence interfered in a women’s title match between Paxley and Vice on this week’s episode. Paxley will try and get revenge when she meets the heel trio in tag action in just seven days.
The November 4 NXT will also feature the beginning of a new WWE Speed tournament, crowning the division’s new women’s champion. After Sol Ruca decided to relinquish the belt recently due to injury, the third-ever women’s Speed champ will be determined soon.
Past Speed tournaments have featured talent from all around WWE’s roster and partners, including Smackdown, EVOLVE, AAA, and TNA.
Ricky Saints to face Trick Williams in Last Man Standing bout at 11/11 NXT
Two title matchups have been confirmed for NXT’s November 11 card.
In a Halloween Havoc rematch, NXT Champion Ricky Saints will take on Trick Williams.
Despite losing to Saints last weekend, Williams insisted on another shot at the champ on Tuesday. After a brawl between the two that lasted an entire episode of NXT—beginning in the opening segment and continuing past the show’s main event—General Manager Ava made the decision to book a rematch with a special Last Man Standing stipulation.
Also on the card, we’ll see Jasper Troy look to take down El Grande Americano in a bout for the WWE Speed Championship.
Troy overcame Zachary Wentz and Axiom in recent weeks to become #1 contender for the Speed title. Due to the brand’s brief absence earlier this year, the upcoming matchup will be the first time El Grande Americano has put his belt on the line since June.
Blake Monroe set for New York title appearance
We also learned on Tuesday that Blake Monroe will defend her NXT North American Championship for the first time as part of the promotion’s “Gold Rush” TV special, which will air on November 18 and 25. Monroe will meet an opponent yet to be announced inside The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
