Friday

WWE Friday Night SmackDown / 8 p.m. ET / USA Network

Kicking off a two-night stint at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown will go down this evening. The main attraction of the night will be a face-to-face between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre, meeting in the ring just 24 hours before they battle it out at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The lineup will also feature women’s tag team champ Alexa Bliss going one-on-one with Nia Jax, and Jade Cargill speaking ahead of her title match on Saturday against Tiffany Stratton.

  • Carmelo Hayes vs. Kit Wilson
  • Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax
  • Jade Cargill to appear
  • Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre go face-to-face

CMLL Dia de Muertos 2025 / 10 p.m. ET / Youtube or TrillerTV PPV

CMLL’s annual Day of the Dead-themed card will go down on Friday night inside the legendary Arena Mexico.

The solid show includes a stacked six-man tag main event, with Mistico, Mascara Dorada, and Neon taking on Don Callis Family member Hechicero alongside Volador Jr. and Barbaro Cavernario. Lower in the lineup, Persephone and Titan are also scheduled to appear.

Along with those appearances, the card will also include CMLL’s annual Rey Del Inframundo Championship match. The title, which is only defended once a year at CMLL’s Dia de Muertos card, will return in a four-way contest. 2024 winner Difunto will look to go back-to-back in a match also featuring Villano III Jr., Andrenalina, and Guerrero Maya Jr.

Paid subscribers to CMLL’s YouTube channel will be able to watch the stream. The show will also be available as a one-time purchase on Triller, too.

  • Rey Cometa & Espiritu Negro vs. Poseidon & Troyano
  • Capitan Suicida, Magia Blanca, Hijo del Pantera vs. El Cobarde, Okumura & Espanto Jr.
  • India Sioux vs. Persephone
  • Titan, Esfinge & Xelhua vs. Averno, Euforia & Mephisto
  • Difunto vs. Guerrero Maya Jr. vs. Villano III Jr. vs. Andrenalina (CMLL Rey Del Inframundo Championship)
  • Mistico, Mascara Dorada & Neon vs. Hechicero, Volador Jr. & Barbaro Cavernario

Saturday

NJPW Super Junior Tag League 2025 Night 8 / 4 a.m. ET / NJPW World

The other half of NJPW’s Super Junior Tag League finals will be determined on Saturday night when the promotion heads to Osaka for the last evening of Block action.

While the duo of KUSHI and Yuki Yoshioka could force a three-way tie with a win on Saturday, it seems most likely that the winner of the B Block will be determined by the main event, where TMDK’s Kosei Fujita and Robbie Eagles take on Robbie X and Taiji Ishimori. The winning duo of that bout, most likely, will go on to face SHO & DOUKI, who secured their spot in the tournament’s grand finals on Thursday.

If you want something to watch on Saturday morning, NJPW will be live in the early hours with this lineup:

  • Masatora Yasuda & Shoma Kato vs. Zane Jay & Tatsuya Matsumoto
  • Dragon Dia, Ryusuke Taguchi, Boltin Oleg & Toru Yano vs. Daiki Nagai, Clark Connors, OSKAR & Yuto-Ice
  • Callum Newman, Jakob Austin Young & Templario vs. Yujiro Takahashi, SHO & DOUKI
  • Katsuya Murashima, Master Wato & YOH vs. Gedo, Hiromu Takahashi & Shingo Takagi
  • YAMATO & Tiger Mask vs. Dick Togo & Yoshinobu Kanemaru (B Block)
  • Kuukai & El Desperado vs. Yuki Yoshioka & KUSHIDA (B Block)
  • Kosei Fujita & Robbie Eagles vs. Robbie X & Taiji Ishimori (B Block)

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event / 7 p.m. ET / Peacock

The biggest event on Saturday will undoubtedly be WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event card from Salt Lake City, Utah. While there are some big title matchups early in the night, including Tiffany Stratton trying to keep her lengthy title reign alive against Jade Cargill and Cody Rhodes once again defending his title against Drew McIntyre, the main focus of the night will be a clash for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

After Seth Rollins vacated the title due to injury, CM Punk and Jey Uso have fought their way to a match for the belt. For Punk, a win would start a more substantial reign than his previous title run, which ended the same night it started at Summerslam earlier this year. Uso will similarly be trying to regain a title he lost months back, holding the “Big Gold” belt for just 51 days following Wrestlemania 41.

This weekend’s SNME will be the first since the show officially moved over from NBC’s main channel to Peacock. One thing to watch for is whether the show’s move from TV to streaming changes the presentation (the show on TV was fast-paced due to the need for commercial breaks, infamously cutting off Goldberg’s retirement speech earlier this year).

  • Dominik Mysterio vs. Penta vs. Rusev (WWE Intercontinental Championship)
  • Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill (WWE Women’s Championship)
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre (Undisputed WWE Championship)
  • CM Punk vs. Jey Uso (Vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

AEW Collision / 8 p.m. ET / TNT

If you aren’t interested in what WWE has to offer, AEW will be going head-to-head in the 8 p.m. ET timeslot with their latest episode of Collision.

Serving as a follow-up to their critically acclaimed Mexico City showdown earlier this year, ROH World Champion Bandido and fellow Lucha vet Mascara Dorada will face off in the main event of the night. This is undoubtedly one of the more interesting matchups of the weekend due to how incredible these two have looked in the ring together and separately as of late.

Saturday’s card will also feature Don Callis trying to calm down the tension between Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita by forcing them to work as a tag team against Anthony Bowens and Max Caster. Will it work? Probably not, but we’ll see.

We currently know that the lineup is scheduled to also include Mercedes Moné defending her CMLL belt, the debut of the newly-formed Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir tag duo, and Conglomeration vs. La Faccion Ingobernable meeting in six-man tag action.

  • Megan Bayne & Marina Shafir in action
  • Mark Briscoe, Roderick Strong & Komander vs. Dralistico, The Beast Mortos & Sammy Guevara
  • Mercedes Moné vs. Olympia (CMLL World Women’s Championship)
  • Bandido vs. Mascara Dorada (ROH World Championship)
  • Anthony Bowens & Max Caster vs. Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita

West Coast Pro: How The West Was Won / 10 p.m. ET / YouTube

There are tons of indie events worth highlighting each weekend, but there’s only so much time to discuss what’s going on. Out of all the indie lineups set for the next few days, the most impressive might be West Coast Pro’s “How The West Was Won.”

Saturday night’s show from the United Irish Cultural Center in San Francisco, California, features notable talent from all around the wrestling world: AEW’s Willow Nightingale, NJPW’s Gabe Kidd, former NXT talent Karl Fredericks, TNA’s Dani Luna, and more.

Personally speaking, most intriguing here is Nightingale going up against 23-year-old up-and-comer Maya World, who has quickly made a name for herself despite only debuting back in 2023.

What sweetens the deal even more? The show will be live and free on YouTube. If you’re craving something of the indie flavor, this is one to catch for sure.

  • Sweet Caroline vs. Miko Alana
  • Gabe Kidd vs. Karl Fredericks
  • AJ Gary vs. Mad Dog Connelly
  • Willow Nightingale vs. Maya World
  • Starboy Charlie & Titus Alexander vs. 1 Called Manders & Thomas Shire (West Coast Pro World Tag Team Championships)
  • Johnnie Robbie vs. Dani Luna (West Coast Pro Women’s World Championship)
  • Kevin Blackwood vs. Vinnie Massaro (West Coast Pro World Champion)

Sunday

NJPW Hiroshi Tanahashi’s Final Homecoming / 3 a.m. ET / NJPW World

NJPW will make a rare trip to the 400,000-person city of Gifu, Japan, on Sunday night, providing Hiroshi Tanahashi with his final homecoming in-ring appearance before retiring in just a few months.

Gifu’s not a city where important NJPW cards tend to happen. In fact, the last time the city hosted an event by the promotion dates all the way back to 2019. But, this weekend they’re being treated to a quite significant card from the promotion.

Along with Tanahashi’s last match in the city, challenging IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji, a pair of other high-profile matches will take place.

In the main event, newly-crowned IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita will put his title on the line against Hirooki Goto, attempting to avenge a loss he suffered during the G1 in August. The winners of the 2025 Super Junior Tag League will be determined earlier in the night as well.

The full card hasn’t been announced yet, but the three biggest matchups are official:

  • NJPW Super Junior Tag League Finals
  • Yota Tsuji vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi (IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship)
  • Konosuke Takeshita vs. Hirooki Goto (IWGP World Heavyweight Championship)

DDT Ultimate Party 2025 / 11:30 p.m. ET / Wrestle Universe

It’s sort of cheating to add this event in the mix, since it’s technically taking place on Monday in Japan, but we’re going to make an exception, since it technically starts on late Sunday evening stateside, and it’s a high-profile show: DDT will head to Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo on Monday night, presenting “Ultimate Party,” one of their largest cards of the year.

A title-versus-title fight will headline the night, with Yuki Ueno wagering the KO-D Openweight Championship against Minoru Suzuki and his DDT Universal Championship. Suzuki has been on a big run in DDT this year, holding his title for over 200 days thus far. His campaign would be elevated to greater heights if he could take down Ueno and grab the promotion’s top title for the first time in his career.

The card will also feature Zack Sabre Jr. going one-on-one with Chris Brookes, Konosuke Takeshita in tag action, and… A “Blindfold Death Match.” DDT knows how to deliver a fresh take on comedy wrestling along with some dramatic high-level action on their big shows – if both of those categories speak to you, then this is an event worth giving a try.

  • Shanshiro Takagi vs. Hinata Kasai
  • HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Naomi Yoshimura vs. Soma Takao, Shinichiro Kawamatsu & Rukiya
  • Hideo Okatani, MJ Paul, Demuth & Ilusion vs. Daichi Satoh, Yuki Ishida, Kazuma Sumi & Kumadori
  • To-y vs. Akito vs. Super Sasadango Machine vs. Kazuki Hirata vs. Antonio Honda (Blindfold Death Match) (DDT Extreme Championship)
  • Tetsuya Endo, HAYATA & Junta Miyawaki vs. Jun Akiyama, Shinya Aoki & Yuya Koroku
  • Daisuke Sasaki vs. AMAKUSA
  • Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya vs. NAO & KANON vs. Chihiro Hashimoto & Yuu (KO-D Tag Team Championships)
  • Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Chris Brookes
  • Konosuke Takeshita & Kaisei Takechi vs. Kazusada Higuchi & Takeshi Masada
  • Yuki Ueno vs. Minoru Suzuki (KO-D Openweight Championship & DDT UNIVERSAL Championship)
