AEW Dynamite fell to a new viewership low while airing against Game 5 of the World Series this past Wednesday.

The October 29 Fright Night Dynamite episode from Edinburg, Texas, averaged 459,000 viewers and 109,000 viewers (0.08) in the 18-49 demographic on TBS, excluding streaming viewership on HBO Max.

The show was nearly identical to last week’s audience of 477,000 viewers and 109,000 in the demo following the WrestleDream pay-per-view.

This week’s episode represents the lowest overall viewership for Dynamite in its normal timeslot in the history of the program since October 2019.

It was a big night for competition, led by Game 5 of the World Series between the L.A. Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays. The Fox broadcast attracted 14,305,000 viewers and a 3.02 rating in the 18-49 demographic, along with 275,000 viewers and 0.08 on Fox Deportes.

Dynamite ranked seventh among cable originals in prime time, which was led by the Cleveland Cavs vs. Boston Celtics (1,280,000 viewers and 0.38 in the demo) on ESPN, multiple programs on Fox News, a movie on Freeform, and Fox Deportes’ coverage of the World Series.

AEW did outrank MTV’s The Challenge and a college football game between Jacksonville State and Middle Tennessee.
