R-Truth recently revealed some details about his latest WWE contract.
The 53-year-old veteran talent briefly exited the WWE roster last year, a departure which caused fan outcry due to his multi-decade tenure with the company. This public outrage resulted in him being brought back only days later, returning at Money in the Bank 2025.
While information about R-Truth’s new contract wasn’t initially known, he revealed more details in a recent interview with TV Insider.
“I signed a four-year deal with a three-year option,” he said in the interview.
R-Truth’s role in WWE upon return was briefly expected to see him undergo a significant character shift. Shortly after returning at Money in the Bank, he cut a promo where he insisted on being referred to “Ron Killings,” and cut his hair.
However, he has since returned to his past comedy routine, a confused and often clueless character who mixes up names, dates, and locations much to his own detriment.
When asked about his current position, R-Truth emphasized to TV Guide that he wants to help newcomers on the roster grow.
“I’m there to be a tool, a resource,” he said. “Not only for the company, but for the younger talent that is there. I want to be that guiding light. I want to be that beacon of light for the company. Almost like the groundskeeper. I’ve always been there. I’m that guy. The guy who you dealt me a hand, and I’m going to play it. Regardless, how you feel, they feel, I’m going to come out a winner.”
