R-Truth made a surprise return at Money in the Bank to help Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso to victory over John Cena and Logan Paul.

Truth had announced his exit from the company just last week on June 1 as it was reported that his contract would not be renewed.

The match began with Rhodes and Cena in the ring, but the WWE Undisputed Champion tagged himself out very quickly without the two making contact.

There were loud “We want Truth” chants in the early part of the match as Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul tussled.

A tag to Jey Uso left the World Heavyweight Champion taking prolonged punishment from both Logan Paul and Cena as the heel team exchanged tags.

Rhodes had been left on the apron for around 10 minutes without a tag as Cena hit him with a cheap shot.

There was then some dissension between Cena and Paul as they tagged themselves in and then argued. As they yelled at each other, Jey Uso was finally able to tag in a fresh Cody Rhodes.

After Cody hit the CrossRhodes, Logan Paul dived into the ring to break up the pin attempt but missed Rhodes and hit Cena.

Paul hit the Paulverizer on Rhodes, who was not the legal man. Paul then grabbed his drone camera out of the air to showboat. This led to him taking a top-rope superplex and an Uso Splash, all captured on drone footage.

The action then spilled outside, with Paul delivering a moonsault to Jey Uso on the announce table.

As the referee tended to Uso, Cena grabbed his title and blasted Rhodes with it.

At this point, a hooded man appeared and speared Cena. It was R-Truth.

A CrossRhodes from Cody later, and Rhodes pinned Cena.
