NJPW x CMLL Fantasticamania 2/18 Results: Four teams advance in tag tournament

NJPW and CMLL kicked off their annual Fantasticamania tour on Wednesday with the opening round matches of the tag tournament.

Eight teams competed on Wednesday’s show in front of 2,022 at Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo in opening round action.

The team of Futuro & Valiente Jr., Magnus & Averno, Atlantis & Atlantis Jr., and Místico & Máscara Dorada punched their tickets to the semi-finals on Sunday.

The show was headlined by the members of El Sky Team defeating Último Guerrero & SHO when Místico used La Mistica on Guerrero and Dorada landed a shooting star press on SHO.

The semi-finals on Sunday will see Místico & Dorada face Futuro & Valiente Jr., and Averno & Magnus take on Atlantis & Atlantis Jr.

The tournament runs until next Tuesday, when the finals will be held in Osaka.

Fantasticamania consists of seven shows, featuring CMLL talent, and concludes with back-to-back shows at Korakuen Hall on February 26 & February 27.

  • Templario vs. Soberano Jr. wrestled to a ten-minute draw
  • Tag Tournament: Místico & Máscara Dorada over Último Guerrero & SHO in 16:40
