Jeff Hardy vs. Vincent

We got off to a quick start in this match when Jeff rushed at Vincent. Jeff went up for a Swantom Bomb, but Vincent cut him off and targeted the midsection. That played into a Twist of Fate counter later in the match, but Jeff eventually got it off for a two-count. Vincent went up to the top rope, and the lights went out. When they went back on, Matt Hardy appeared in the ring in his “Broken” gimmick. The lights went out after “Delete” chants, and when they went back on, Jeff was up top. He hit the Swanton Bomb for the win. Dutch carried off Vincent, as The Righteous appeared happy to see Broken Matt Hardy return.

Frankie first

Gia Miller was backstage with Frankie Kazarian and asked how he’s feeling about the Walk With Elijah Guitar Strap Match. Frankie noted he’s been part of the first Ultimate X, Steel Asylum, and X-Division King of the Mountain, and that he’s won two of those. He planned on doing the same, and everyone will “walk with the king.”

International Championship: Mustafa Ali (c) vs. Adam Brooks

This was a fine showcase for Brooks. There was a nasty-looking spot, where Brooks slid through the ropes, but Ali caught him for a draping DDT on the floor. Brooks later hit a front kick on Ali in the corner, followed up by a powerbomb and a Ushigoroshi for a two-count. Brooks missed a running dropkick in the corner, and Ali hit the 450 splash for the win.

EY’s message to EC3

Eric Young was outside and said that EC3 hasn’t changed, but he has. He’s seen the truth and has gotten more violent and more real. He challenged EC3 to a no-rules, anything goes match next week to find out who the best man really is.

Allie, Mara Sadé & Rosemary def. The Diamond Collective (Mila Moore, Tessa Blanchard & Victoria Crawford)

It kind of felt like half of this match happened during the commercial break. Rosemary and Crawford started things off. Allie bit Crawford, and after she rolled outside, Sadé landed a top-rope crossbody on the entire Diamond Collective. Blanchard was in control of Rosemary after the commercial break. The “reborn” Allie (keeping in line with her death storyline) got the hot tag, took everyone out, and hit a Death Valley Driver for a two-count. There was a lot of chaos that ended with Allie hitting the Code Breaker for the win.

Injury Report

Mike Satana and Rich Swann were on this week’s injury report, with the pair getting the night off but cleared for action. Trey Miguel remained out with a knee laceration in his Rebellion match, and Kazarian and Elijah were cleared for the main event.

Santino and Indi return

Santino is back via video, but he is no longer suspended thanks to a “star witness.” He didn’t waste time making matches, calling out The System, taking on Leon Slater and Moose in a 4-on-2 match. There will be a rematch, with Moose and Slater facing Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander. Also, after Nic Nemeth pinned one half of the tag champions, he and KC Navarro will challenge The System for the titles. Arianna Grace will also defend her Knockouts Title against Léi Ying Lee, and Xia Brookside will be banned from ringside. He then transitioned to Indi Hartwell, who came out on the ramp to call out Grace, whether or not she has the title.

Nicky two belts?

Mike Santana cut a promo backstage, saying he and Rich Swann represented TNA last week. Nic Nemeth then approached the champion and reminded him of his Call Your Shot opportunity. He said he’ll be the tag champion and world champion, leaving Santana with nothing.

Daria warns Indi

Daria Rae was in her office, getting updates on Santino and Hartwell’s statuses and the matches Santino had booked. Indi came up to her, and Daria reminded Indi that her contract is coming up soon, so she should tread lightly.

Home Town Man vs. Mr. Elegance

The Personal Concierge introduced Mr. Elegance by calling him a “Greek God” and saying that he outworks everyone in the crowd. The closing sequence of the match saw Ash get on the apron and try to seduce Home Town Man. Ash tried to kiss, but Home Town Man put a mask over her face and then over her head, causing her to freak out. Mr. Elegance took advantage and landed the twisting DDT and weirdly positioned Home Town Man for a squatting pin for the win.

Undead friends

Sadé, Allie, and Rosemary were celebrating their win backstage. Allie loved being alive, and Sadé loved everything about the Undead Realm.

Dreamer pep talk

Léi Ying Lee is at the bar and tells Gia Miller that she doesn’t want the Knockouts Title match. She said everything has been too much, and she just wants to go home. Tommy Dreamer sits next to her and understands where she’s coming from. He had a friend turn on him in summer camp, and they haven’t made up since, which was an interesting reference to use. He told Lee that she not only represents everyone in China but also everyone who’s never given up. He said that he believes in her, Gia believes in her, and everyone else believes in her, but she needs to believe in herself. That was enough for Lee to accept the match and say she’s gonna win.

Slater approaching history

Leon Slater came out to the ring and said he’s feeling good because on May 15, he’ll become the longest-reigning X-Division champion in history. He called out Cedric Alexander, saying Cedric hasn’t been in his prime since he was in elementary school 10 years ago. However, Slater was willing to give him an opportunity, but he hadn’t been training since he was nine for a “rat” like him to take the title from him. Cedric came out and said he deserved this title match. He told Slater that Daria Rae made a title match for May 14, but questioned if Slater would make it until then. That’s when The System attacked Slater. Moose slowly came out for the save. After powerbombing Brian Myers on the other System members outside, Moose was going to spear Alisha Edwards, but Eddie dragged her out for the save.

Nemeth therapy

Ryan Nemeth was ranting about KC Navarro getting things he didn’t. It turned out he was telling this to A.J. Francis, who pointed out that everything that’s happened to Ryan happened to him last year. He said he didn’t care about his family drama, but told him to leave Navarro to him.

Walk With Elijah Guitar Strap Match

The match started in the back and could only end in the ring when one man touches all four corners in succession. Kaz tried to target the arm, but Elijah threw Kaz into a bunch of trash multiple times. He carried Kaz to the ring, heading into a commercial break. There were multiple times when Elijah almost touched the fourth corner, but Kaz kept cutting him off, including a spot where Kaz had the chicken wing, but Elijah kept walking. Kaz was about to win, but Elijah turned him inside out, snapping the strap. They got it back on after Elijah hit a tombstone. Kaz tried to pull as hard as he could to prevent Elijah from touching a corner. Elijah reached for his guitar and nailed Kaz with a guitar shot over the head, and touched the last corner for the win.

The following was announced for next week:

  • Tag Team Championship: The System (Brian Myers & Bear Bronson) (c) vs. Nic Nemeth & KC Navarro
  • No Disqualification: EC3 vs. Eric Young
  • Leon Slater & Moose vs. Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander
  • Knockouts Championship: Arianna Grace (c) vs. Léi Ying Lee
