TNA Wrestling’s Trey Miguel provided a positive update regarding his injury recently.

It was revealed last week that TNA’s Miguel suffered an injury at the recent Rebellion event, where he went one-on-one with Mustafa Ali. While he was able to finish the match, Miguel later learned that he suffered a broken patella during the match, forcing him out of action.

After recently getting assessed, Miguel told fans on an Instagram Story post that he won’t need surgery and should be allowed to resume training in about 10 weeks.

“I just wrapped up at the ortho,” Miguel said in a video. “Everything went well, I got to see my x-ray. It is a non-displaced fracture, which means I won’t need surgery, and, as long as I keep my knee straight, it should be 100 percent again. I start PT in two weeks, it shouldn’t take more than two or three sessions before I can self-assess based on the pain levels I’m experiencing and try to get my knee bending on my own. They’re assuming it’ll probably be about 10 weeks before I can get rolling around again in a ring. It will be three weeks as of Saturday, so we’ve got a little bit of a journey ahead of us but everything went smoothly today.”

Miguel was just coming off a run with the TNA International Championship. He claimed the belt back in February, dethroning NXT’s Stacks to take the championship. His run with the title ended at Rebellion when he lost a 12-minute match to Ali.
