John Cena says he will be at WWE’s Backlash Premium Live Event (PLE) this weekend to break some news.

Cena, the future WWE Hall of Famer who retired from professional wrestling last year, has remained around the industry since stepping away. He was the host of this year’s Wrestlemania card in Las Vegas, showing up to announce the attendance on both nights.

Now, just weeks after that cameo, he says he’ll be at Saturday night’s show in Tampa, Florida, with a big announcement that will “change the WWE experience.”

“It’s official!” Cena posted on X today. “I’m headed to #WWEBacklash! After months of planning and effort, I am SO excited to break some history-making news! I can’t promise it’ll be perfect but I can promise it will change the WWE experience for Superstars and fans! C U Live Saturday in Tampa or at home on the @espn app!”

Cena said recently rhat he was planning “something special” for Backlash, mentioning that it’ll possibly be a tie-in with the recently launched Club WWE fan program.
