Willow Nightingale’s run as TBS Champion has come to a sudden end.
Nightingale announced on Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite that a shoulder injury has put her on the sidelines, causing her to relinquish the TBS Championship that she has held since late 2025.
The injury also means that Nightingale won’t be competing in this year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, which she was scheduled to begin this Sunday against Alex Windsor. Her spot in the tournament has been replaced by a Wild Card.
“I want so bad to wrestle at Double or Nothing in front of my family, at home in New York, against Alex Windsor,” Nightingale said. “I want to go on in the Owen, and go to All In and become the AEW World Champ, but unfortunately, I have to withdraw from the Owen Hart Cup. Furthermore, I must relinquish the TBS Championship.”
Nightingale revealed during her promo on Wednesday that she suffered her shoulder injury last week during a Collision match against Red Velvet. She delivered a positive message before stepping away, assuring fans that she will be back someday.
“I’m overjoyed to have been the face of TBS,” she said. “As sure as this smile remains on my face, I will be back. I don’t know when, but I’ll tell you this: I’m coming right back to the top. So, everyone, thank you.”

Nightingale had a big first half to the year, defending the TBS Championship 10 times. Her reign started on a New Year’s Eve episode of Dynamite, when she ended the record-setting run of Mercedes Moné. She later overcame Hikaru Shida, Kamille, Anna Jay, and many others.
Nightingale also spent a portion of the year as the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Harley Cameron.
