WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch attacked Sol Ruca following their non-title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The post-match attack occurred after Ruca secured a disqualification victory. Nick Aldis later told Lynch she would have to defend her title against Ruca at Clash in Italy next week.
Following the brief contest, Lynch blindsided Ruca with the championship belt before executing three consecutive Manhandle Slams. She also drove off referee Dan Engler when he attempted to intervene, leaving Ruca down to heavy crowd boos.
The match concluded when Lynch pulled referee Jessika Carr into the path of Ruca’s signature Sol Snatcher. Carr immediately called for the disqualification, giving Ruca the official victory.
Before the opening bell, Lynch had already initiated an assault by throwing her title belt directly into her opponent’s face.
Ruca quickly recovered once the match officially started, overwhelming the champion with an array of aerial offense including a springboard corkscrew crossbody and a moonsault to the floor.
