Darby Allin will make his return to the indies next month.
The former AEW World Champion is expected to appear at 1 Fall Wrestling’s Summer Stage 2 show on July 17, the promotion announced this week.

Allin will go head-to-head with Kiran Grey in a no-disqualification bout.
The announcement comes just a few days after Allin made his return to TV, attacking rival Kevin Knight. He had been off AEW programming for a few weeks, licking his wounds after dropping the brand’s top title to MJF at Double or Nothing last month.
While independent booking appearances aren’t unheard of for Allin, it’s not too often that he’s appearing outside of an AEW ring these days. The upcoming assignment is his first non-AEW match since October 2025.
It was announced recently that 1FW has signed a streaming deal with MyAEW, a subscription service which launched earlier this year.
