Jim Ross says he has spent more than three weeks in a hospital in Norman, Oklahoma.
The AEW broadcaster and WWE Hall of Famer shared the update through his X account on Saturday while watching the College World Series.
Day 22 in the hospital in Norman.
Watching @CWSOmaha with my @soonerbaseball.
Thanks for everyone’s kind thoughts and prayers.
Don’t count me out just yet.
I’m still fighting!
Ross, 74, did not state why he is in hospital or when he expects to be discharged.
Ross had attended AEW Double or Nothing in New York and called the Continental Championship match between Jon Moxley and Kyle O’Reilly. On a subsequent edition of Grilling JR, Ross said he had suffered a fall at home before traveling to the pay-per-view, which caused him to miss his original flight.
He said at the time that he was “very sore” and that his legs were “really weak,” adding that he hoped to find a doctor who could get him “back on track.”
Ross has dealt with multiple health issues in recent years, including a battle with colon cancer.
Ross was among AEW’s original hires in 2019 and served as one of the company’s lead voices when Dynamite launched later that year. His on-air schedule has been reduced in recent years, with Ross used primarily for select pay-per-view matches.
Ross also said last month that he believes his AEW contract expires “sometime in August,” but added that he was not worrying about whether the company would renew his deal.
