Will Ospreay is heading to Wembley.

Ospreay took down Swerve Strickland on Sunday night, winning the 2026 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament in the main event of Forbidden Door from San Jose, California.

The win means that Ospreay will get a shot at the AEW World Championship as part of All In at Wembley Stadium in London, England this summer.

Ospreay’s win came after an all-out, bloody war against Strickland. Their 35-minute main event saw them both empty their entire clip of moves, both desperately trying to win the tournament.

Late in the match, Jon Moxley and the rest of his Death Riders faction appeared at ringside to try and rally Ospreay, who they have taken under their wing in recent months. Ospreay then put together a Hidden Blade, a modified Buckshot Lariat into Hidden Blade, a Paradigm Shift, Death Rider, then a Tiger Driver for the pinfall win.

Both Ospreay and Strickland got cut open early in the match. Strickland was leaking from the head for a large portion of the match, sporting a gnarly, bloodied face due to his injury.

Strickland, who was appearing in his second-ever Owen Hart Cup run, made it to the finals after beating Bandido and Brody King in earlier rounds. Ospreay, who was competing in his second consecutive Owen Hart Cup final, secured the opportunity following wins against Samoa Joe and Mark Davis.

Past tournament winners include Hangman Adam Page, Bryan Danielson, Ricky Starks and Adam Cole.

The women’s tournament was won earlier in the night by Mercedes Moné, who took down underdog Maya World. Moné is the first wrestler in either bracket to win the tournament in back-to-back years.

Earlier in the night: Briscoe books title shot for Wednesday, Jay White returns & more

The co-main event saw Mark Briscoe earn a future AEW World Championship shot, beating Team MJF in a hectic six-on-six cage match. Andrade El Idolo turned against his own team late, wiping out MJF with a back elbow then revealing a shirt that read “F*** [Don] Callis, F*** MJF.” Following the win, Briscoe said he will challenge MJF for his title on Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Jay White, who hadn’t been seen in a wrestling ring for over a year, made his shock return on Sunday night. He helped assist Cope & Cage in an AEW World Tag Team Championships match against David Finlay and Clark Connors, giving Finlay a Blade Runner.

Thekla continued to terrorize former employer STARDOM as part of this weekend’s card, beating company representative Starlight Kid in an AEW Women’s World Championship match. Thekla cut off SLK’s mask during the post-match, then spat on the mask and shoved it in the face of company president Taro Okada.

In the sole non-AEW title match of the night, Shota Umino defended his IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship for the first time, turning back Death Riders member PAC in an 18-minute contest. Umino connected with a Paradigm Shift, a nod to his time alongside Jon Moxley, then closed the match with his Second Chapter finisher.

Jon Moxley’s reign as AEW Continental Champion, which has now lasted over half a year, continued on Sunday night with a bloody 18-minute performance against Bandido. The Death Riders leader dodged a 21-Plex from Bandido, countering into a submission which eventually put the luchador to sleep.

Kenny Omega faced off against technical star Zack Sabre Jr. early in the night, going a deep 26 minutes before finding the pinfall win. In a showdown that saw the men battle in contrasting styles, it was a One-Winged Angel from Omega which ended it. The match was the first time in over seven years that Omega and Sabre Jr. met in a singles bout. They had faced off twice in the past, once on a 2013 British indie card, then later as part of the 2018 NJPW G1 Climax. Omega has won in all three exchanges.

The main card kicked off with an electric three-way tag opener, with The Young Bucks winning in 17 minutes against Mascara Dorada and Mistico of El Sky Team, and Shingo Takagi and Titan of the Unbound Company. The matchup worked at an incredibly fast pace from start to finish, a showdown packed full of high-flying spots and lots of superkicks. In the end, The Young Bucks were able to give Titan a TK Driver for the pinfall victory

Pre-show highlights included the Divine Dominion retaining their AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships against CMLL’s Olympia and Thunder Rosa, STARDOM’s Maika qualifying for this Wednesday’s TBS Championship six-way with a win over Skye Blue, and NJPW’s Drilla Moloney taking down Daniel Garcia in a singles showdown.
