The System (Cedric Alexander & Eddie Edwards) vs. Leon Slater & Ricky Sosa

The crowd was hot for Sosa throughout the match. He and Slater showed their tag team chemistry and gained an advantage over The System early on, which was capped off by dual planchas. Alisha Edwards’ distractions helped The System corner Sosa in their corner. He eventually got the hot tag to Slater, who hit a rebound leg lariat, followed up by a Yakuza Kick on Cedric. Eddie broke up a top-rope crossbody pin, and Cedric later caught Slater with a Michinoku Driver. Sosa tagged himself in, as Cedric talked trash to a fan, and he ate a springboard dropkick. Eddie cut off a Head Shot, but Slater took him out, and Sosa took out The System with a Head Shot to both of them. Slater hit a Swanton 450 on Cedric for the win.

After the match, Slater challenged Alexander to a cage match at Lockdown for the X-Division Title.

Mustafa Ali was preparing for his title match, and he initially asked John Skylar to get the rest of Order 4 backstage, but he almost ran into Ms. Moore’s chest. Ali then asked Ms. Moore to make sure all of Order 4 are ringside and that no one interferes in the match.

The Elegance Brand were backstage, and The Personal Concierge pumped up Heather and M for their tag title match, and he said once they win the tag titles and the Knockouts TV Title, they’ll be the “Empire of Elegance.” Heather and M wondered what the plan was if they were matched up in the finals, and The Concierge changed topics, talking about how he could see now.

Matthew Rehwoldt and Tom Hannifan offered a tribute message to Tanea Brooks, a.k.a. Rebel, as highlights from her TNA career played. The message and video played for fans in the arena, and they chanted for Rebel, as commentary provided details on how they could help Rebel and others dealing with ALS.

TNA Knockouts TV Title Tournament Quarterfinal: Indi Hartwell vs. Thea Hail

Thea made this a technical bout, with some joint manipulation spots, but the crowd was not really into this match. Thea tried working Indi’s arm, as she used her power to keep her distance. The closing stretch was a bit sloppy, as Indi won with Hurt Donut and will face M By Elegance in the semifinals.

A.J. Francis asked people backstage for money that will go toward paying off Expressions’ medical bills after what Elijah did to him. Francis wasn’t happy about only receiving $40, and he ran into Rich Swann and BDE. They wondered why he needed to ask for money because he’s always talking about “money, money, money,” but Francis cut them off. They continued to mock Francis, even calling him bald, which Francis pointed out that Swann is also bald.

The System’s new enemy

KC Navarro was in the ring and was welcomed by “KC” chants. He acknowledged his failure to win the TNA Title, but he noted that no one is harder on him than himself. He admitted that at that moment, he felt like he didn’t belong in TNA. He thought about losing his home as a child and losing his uncle. He thought about the kids who bullied him and told him that he’d never make it. He thought they were right, but then he thought about his grind on the indies and never going. He kept going until he got booked on One Night Only in 2019 and the Super X Cup. He didn’t get signed, but he kept fighting because he wanted to show kids that they could do anything, and he pointed out his two little brothers in the crowd.  He said now he belongs and his story is just beginning.

The System then came out, and Alisha mocked “crybaby KC.” Brian Myers added that no one cared that KC tore his ACL and that he set up a daycare station for him backstage. Each member of The System each cut a promo while KC stood behind them in the ring. Cedric said that he wouldn’t accept Slater’s challenge, and Eddie added that neither Slater nor Sosa deserved another match against The System. KC interrupted and told The System that they might be the gatekeepers, but they look like a bunch of bitches. The System swarmed KC until Slater, Sosa, and Fabian Aichner came in for the save.

Allie was in the hallway looking for Rosemary. She found Daria Rae, who told her the tag match was on next and that she would forfeit the titles if she couldn’t find Rosemary. Allie said that she would defend the titles herself, and Daria accepted those terms.

On this week’s injury report, The Righteous’ whereabouts were unknown after their match at the Hardy Compound. Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch and The Personal Concierge were cleared for action, and Nic Nemeth was “better than ever” after his title match.

Gia Miller was backstage with Xia Brookside, who said that she attacked Elayna Black and Wendy Choo because she could. She said that you can’t call yourself the greatest unless you’re ready to back it up. Choo confronted Xia and said she had to come to the show to tell her that she’s a coward. They bickered, as Xia told Wendy that she doesn’t care what anyone thinks. Santino Marella played peacemaker, and he didn’t agree with Xia’s actions, so Wendy Choo will face Xia Brookside for the Knockouts Title next week. Elayna came to support Wendy and talked trash to Xia.

Aimee Garcia of “The Walking Dead: Dead City” was at the show.

TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Title: Allie (c) vs. The Elegance Brand (Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance)

Naturally, Heather and M had the two-on-one advantage, but Allie powered through. The Personal Concierge had one of the belts and stood on the ring apron. Allie dragged him with the belt into the ring, and she crashed out, using the belt on The Elegance Brand to force a disqualification.

Brotherly rivalry

Matt started by saying The Hardys deleted The Righteous and added that they might be dead. That led to him shouting out Aimee Garcia. They talked about how they went into the Lake of Reincarnation, which led Jeff to name a bunch of his nicknames, including the Anti-Christ, Enlightened Enigma, and Sober Alcoholic. He said that others are too stupid to understand that, but the Hardy fans would understand. Matt said he would be spitting some truths. He said that they are the GOATs, the best tag team in the history of pro wrestling. The crowd gave them “Hardy” chants. Matt added that TNA runs on Hardy and that without him and Jeff, there would be no ladder matches and no TLC matches because they made it famous.

The Nemeths then came out and said they were better than both of them. Ryan called them the greatest brother tag team of all time and pointed out that he beat Jeff. He challenged The Hardys at Lockdown for the tag team titles. Matt quickly accepted, and Director of Authority Santino arrived and made it official. He added that Nemeth would defend the world title against Jeff, too, and Ryan would face Matt next week. Ryan and Nic tried to flirt with Garcia, but she slapped Ryan and partied with The Hardys.

Francis was still walking around asking for money, and he found Paige Prinzivalli, who gave him $20. He then ran into The Home Town Man, who noted he’s got a tab, doesn’t have cash, and hates Francis. Francis noted they’re in the City of Brotherly Love, and he threw in a LeBron James jab about how LeBron would rather helicopter in from New York than live in Philly. Elijah then confronted Francis and said that his attack on Expressions was made in self-defense. Francis called it disrespectful and said that he would beat the respect out of Elijah in a steel cage at Lockdown. Elijah told him to be careful what you wish for.

Santino found Daria backstage. Daria made a match for Lockdown: Demon Bunny vs. The Elegance Brand for the Knockouts Tag Team Titles. The match would be official if they can find Rosemary. Daria also said that they needed to “trim the fat” on the roster and get rid of “dead weight” due to the “lack of return on investment.” She singled out Harley Hudson, who hasn’t won a match in months. Santino noted that she moved to the United States because she loves TNA, and she has a big heart and is a great asset to the locker room. Daria told him to tell that to the board.

TNA Knockouts TV Title Tournament Quarterfinal: Jada Stone vs. Jody Threat

This was a solid back-and-forth, with Jody using her power and Stone using her speed. Stone had a 619 for a nearfall, but Jody later caught Stone with a knee strike, followed up by a German suplex for a nearfall of her own. Stone caught Jody with a boot, but Jody countered the Sparkle Stunner. Stone responded with a roll-up while grabbing Jody’s tights for the win. She’ll face the winner of Mara Sade versus Heather by Elegance.

TNA International Title: Mustafa Ali (c) vs. Jason Hotch

Something that stood out about this match was that the entrances were in a picture-in-picture ad break, but the body of the match had a full ad break. Ali disrespected Hotch to start, saying he didn’t belong with him. Hotch took advantage of Ali not paying attention during his trash talk and got some offense in on the outside. Ali tried to overpower Hotch and blew a kiss to Hotch’s wife and daughter, who were sitting ringside. Hotch responded with an Orihara moonsault, which sent the match into an ad break. Back from break, both men were on the top rope, and Hotch hit a superplex on Ali onto a table outside the ring. Order 4 and a medical official were looking over both men, as Ali beat the 10-count at eight, and Hotch beat it at nine. The dramatic moment came when Ali pulled a ref, making him get hit by Hotch. Ali low-blowed Hotch and hit him with his own belt. Skylar grabbed the belt, and Ali put his feet on the ropes during a roll-up, but Tasha Steelz swiped it away. Ms. Moore confronted Steelz, and they brawled, forcing Skylar and Special Agent Zero to break it up. After both men traded flash pins, Ali hit Hotch with a piledriver, followed up by a 450 splash, but Hotch countered with a crucifix pin for a two-count. Ali ran into a turnbuckle, but he managed to cut off Hotch on the top rope. However, Hotch caught Ali with a double stomp, and he hit a top-rope splash to become the new International Champion.
