Thunder Rosa defeated India Sioux to win the Mexican National Women’s Championship at CMLL’s Viernes Espectacular on Friday.
The title changed hands at Arena México after Rosa landed a double foot stomp and followed with the Fire Thunder Driver.

Rosa’s victory ended Sioux’s reign after 511 days. The former champion had recorded two successful defenses during that period.
The new champion earned her opportunity by winning an eight-woman elimination match on July 19. The field also included Reyna Isis, Keyra, Garra Negra, Sanely, Skadi, Hera and Olympia.
This is Rosa’s first championship in CMLL. The former AEW Women’s World Champion joined the Mexican promotion’s roster under a dual contract with AEW in April and said she would work regularly in Mexico throughout the remainder of 2026.
Elsewhere at Viernes Espectacular, Persephone retained the CMLL World Women’s Championship against Tessa Blanchard, while Hechicero successfully defended the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship against Roderick Strong.
Máscara Dorada defeated Komander in the final of the 2026 Leyenda de Plata tournament.
