AAA Ola de Calor began a doubleheader with NXT Heatwave at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. The card saw three additions to Triplemania 34:
La Catalina defeated Adelicious, Lady Shani, Thea Hail, and La Hiedra in a gauntlet match. She’ll face Flammer for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.
The three-way match between Jack Cartwheel, Mini Vikingo and Nathan Frazer ended in a 20-minute time limit draw. The match was to determine a No. 1 contender for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship, and after a post-match angle, it was announced that Rey Fenix would defend the title against the three men in a four-way.
During the AAA Mega Championship contract signing, Dominik Mysterio demanded that general manager Rey Mysterio reinstate Omos from suspension. Omos bought a ticket to the event and confronted Mysterio, who will face Omos at Triplemania 34. If Mysterio wins, then Omos is banned from AAA.
Also on the show, The War Raiders successfully defended their AAA World Tag Team Championship against Los Americans. La Parka defeated Damian Priest, El Fiscal and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. to win the vacant AAA Latin American Championship.
The main event saw Dragon Lee and The Lucha Brothers defeat Los Perros del Mal.
Night 1 of Triplemania 34 is on Sept. 11 in Paradise, Nevada, and Night 2 will be on Sept. 13 in Mexico City.
