Proceed with Mami & Sky
Monday Night Raw from Birmingham kicked off with new Women’s World Champion Naomi coming down to the ring and saying no one knew her next move until she makes it. She said she was done with SmackDown and told Bianca that she didn’t betray her; she outgrew her. This brought out Rhea Ripley, who said she’s pissed, and Naomi was now on her list. This brought out Iyo Sky, who told Ripley to get in line. Adam Pearce then appeared and made a Triple Threat match for the Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam.

Backstage, Dominik Mysterio was complaining to Finn Bálor that AJ Styles was stalking him. Bálor said that they needed to focus on the Women’s Tag Team champions. Bálor then asked Dom to escort Perez and Rodriguez to the ring tonight so that they can ensure the titles are still with them when Liv Morgan returns.
Kabuki Warriors vs. Perez & Rodriguez
The first match of the night was the Women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez with Dirty Dom at ringside taking on Asuka and Kairi Sane. The Kabuki Warriors dominated much of the early match, but Dominik jumped up onto the apron multiple times, causing a distraction and getting a spinning backfist for his trouble. Perez rolled up Sane for the win. For some reason, Corey Graves said “and still” as if it were a title match. It was not.

Injury Update
Earlier in the night, it was advertised that Paul Heyman would reveal more details about Seth Rollins’ injury. In an interview backstage, he said he had no update, and Rollins has until next June to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Heyman turned his attention to Bron Breakker in the Gauntlet Match later tonight.

During an ad break, LA Knight was interviewed and wished Seth Rollins a speedy recovery. Knight said he’s not 100% but he would run the gauntlet anyway and go on to beat Gunther. After that, footage was shown of George Kittle superkicking The Miz at a golf outing. Riveting.
Another backstage interview was next with Lyra Valkyria, saying she was sick of being asked about Bayley. Bayley then entered, telling Valkyria to stay out of her way (which would be hard to do since they were about to have a match) and that whoever loses goes to the back of the line.
Bayley vs. Lyra Valkryia 2 out of 3 Falls Match
The next match was Bayley taking on Lyra Valkyria, with the winner going on to face Becky Lynch for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. Michael Cole noted as the match began that Bayley hasn’t won a match since returning from injury. Bayley picked up the first fall in less than ninety seconds after slapping Valkyria and rolling her up. Lyra then scored a pinfall after catching Bayley by surprise with a counter to a pinfall attempt. Bayley and Lyra then exchanged finishers, with both kicking out. The finish saw Bayley get Lyra in a Crossface, which Lyra escaped and hit the Nightwing for the third fall and the win. This brought out Becky Lynch, who squared off with Lyra as the segment ended.

Backstage, Stephanie Vaquer was interviewed and said she would win the Women’s World Championship at Clash in Paris. Chelsea Green and Secret Hervice interrupted, saying she should be the one going to Paris.

Nikki Bella vs. Chelsea Green
Next (in what was our third women’s match on the show with no men yet wrestling), Nikki Bella had her first match on Raw in seven years as she took on Chelsea Green with Secret Hervice in her corner. It didn’t take long before Niven and Fyre got involved, distracting Nikki, but she was able to persevere and pick up the win with the “Rack Attack 2.0”. Niven and Fyre then started a beatdown on Nikki after the match, but Stephanie Vaquer ran down and took them out.

Backstage, New Day and Grayson Waller gave two toupees in an attempt to get a Tag Team Championship rematch. Pearce said that next week, they would figure out who the #1 Contenders were. Pearce then found Judgment Day leaving the arena and said Dom would be reevaluated, and if he’s cleared, he would defend his Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam against AJ Styles. The camera then panned to reveal Styles praying that he’ll be cleared.

American Made was then interviewed, and they said that El Grande Americano was clearly Ludwig Kaiser. Ivy Nile said that everyone is on notice and specifically singled out Stephanie Vaquer. Rusev was then interviewed and said he was superior to Sheamus. Sheamus then entered and said Pearce had granted them a rematch.
The New Next Big Thing
Next, Gunther was out bragging about retiring Goldberg and wondered who was next for him. This brought out Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman. Gunther interrupted Heyman’s intro and went to leave, but Breakker blocked him. Heyman called Breakker “the next big thing” and “the big dog,” saying he’s a Steiner and would beat Gunther at SummerSlam.

#1 Contender Gauntlet Match
The main event (and only men’s match of the night) was the Gauntlet Match to determine who would face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. Starting off the match were Bron Breakker and Penta, who took it to each other for a while before Penta attempted a springboard off the second rope, which Breakker countered with a spear at just under ten minutes.

Out next was LA Knight, who had already admitted earlier in the night that he was not 100%. It didn’t take long for Breakker to focus on Knight’s injured ribs (hmm, what finishing move focuses on the ribs?). Knight fought through his pain but ultimately fell to Breakker’s spear.

Next to join the fray was Jey Uso, who utilized his freshness to take it to the now-worn-down Breakker. Uso appeared to have Breakker beaten when Bronson Reed appeared, knocking Jey off the top rope and allowing Breakker to spear Jey for the pin. This left CM Punk to take on Bron Breakker in the final segment of the gauntlet, which crested the thirty-minute mark.

Punk briefly commandeered the match, but Breakker’s strength was too much for him until he was able to counter a Breakensteiner with a pin attempt for a near fall. Bronson Reed then got involved again, breaking up an Anaconda Vice submission attempt. This brought Jey Uso back out to fight off Bronson Reed. Breakker then intercepted a spear attempt and countered with the GTS to win the gauntlet. With that, CM Punk faces Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.
After the match, Reed returned to attack Punk, and Jey Uso followed but was speared by Breakker. Reed then set Punk and Uso up for a double Tsunami when Roman Reigns returned and took down all three heels. Reigns helped Jey up and then stared at CM Punk.
