Recording artist Jelly Roll recently described his preparation for an upcoming in-ring debut at WWE Summerslam next month.

After getting attacked at Saturday Night’s Main Event last weekend by Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul, Jelly Roll will team alongside Randy Orton in hopes of getting revenge against the heel duo at Summerslam.

While Jelly Roll has appeared on WWE TV before and even done physical segments, the upcoming booking will be his first-ever time wrestling a full match.

He recently told The Pat McAfee Show that he has been working hard in preparation for the bout, including spending recent weeks at WWE’s Performance Center.

“I have quietly been living in Orlando for about three or four weeks,” Jelly Roll said on the show this week. “At the PC I’m showing up every day like a piece of furniture there. They can’t kick me out of there, dude. I’m there from the moment they wake up until it closes, almost. I’m obsessed.”

Jelly Roll’s training has involved many familiar faces, including coach Matt Bloom, Jacob Fatu, Kevin Owens, and The Undertaker.

“I was training with Matt Bloom the other day, and I’m not name dropping, but this is so cool,” he said. “But Undertaker comes in with Michelle [McCool], his wife. They come in and go ‘Hey, we just wanna watch for a minute. Just kinda chill, is that cool?’ I was like ‘Yeah, for sure.’ This is who he is as a human: The entire three hour session, him and his wife stood on those ropes and just gave me pointer after pointer. Kevin Owens and Jacob Fatu came in and wrestled with me the other day for like three, four hours. These dudes are like pouring into me because they see that I’m trying to take it as serious as I can.”

Jelly Roll admits that learning how to wrestle hasn’t been easy. But he noted that the learning curve is part of what has given him an appreciation for what he’s doing.

“I’m so out of my league even trying this, which is what makes it so fun. And every day I think, ‘I just bit off more than I could chew.’ But Randy and my partners in this are all really constantly pouring love into it.”

Jelly Roll is scheduled to be a guest host for Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC this evening. His tag partner at Summerslam, Orton, will be one of the show’s special guests.
