It looks like a high-profile tag team grudge match has joined the WWE Summerslam lineup.

Paul Heyman accepted a challenge on behalf of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed this week, setting them up for a matchup against Roman Reigns and Jey Uso at Summerslam.

On Tuesday evening, one night after getting into a brawl on Raw, Reigns issued a challenge to the heel duo via Instagram.

“I’m gonna go ahead and extend the offer: If Main Event Jey Uso, the Yeet-man himself, would trust me one last time … And accept this challenge with me, I say we take on the Bron-Brons. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at Summerslam,” Reigns said.

A few hours later, Uso mentioned that he’s on board with the plan: “Say less, Uce,” he said in an Instagram post.

Shortly after the issue was challenged, Adam Glyn caught up with Heyman in a street interview. It was in this interaction when the matchup was accepted by Heyman’s side.

“Roman Reigns has picked his poison, now Roman Reigns can pick the date,” Heyman said. “Saturday or Sunday, it doesn’t matter to us. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed accept the challenge of Roman Reigns and Jey Uso for Summerslam. Welcome to my Island of Relevancy. And right over the bridge? In New Jersey? We’ll leave them both buried next to Jimmy Hoffa.”

When asked if the match was booked, Heyman replied: “If I say it, it’s biblical, bitches.”

The matchup joins a busy two-night lineup set for MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 2 and 3. Here’s an updated look at the card – it’s worth noting that we don’t currently know which bouts will take place on the first or second nights of the show.
