Tonight’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, the first live WWE broadcast since the passing of Hulk Hogan, is reportedly planned to be a “grandiose” tribute to the late wrestler.
TMZ reported this afternoon that Jimmy Hart, Sgt. Slaugther and Ted DiBiase Sr. are among the names who are on their way to Cleveland, Ohio for tonight’s episode of Smackdown.
They wrote that the company is planning on presenting “tributes throughout the night.”
Hogan passed away at 71 years old on Thursday after suffering a “serious medical-related issue,” local police said.
The current WWE.com preview for tonight’s Smackdown lists that the episode in Cleveland will “pay tribute to the legendary icon and WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.”
It’s still expected that many other segments, including a matchup between Roxanne Perez and Alexa Bliss, an appearance from Cody Rhodes, and action in the tag division, will also happen.
